Nah, we good.- Emily Blunt
A million times this.
Nah, we good.- Emily Blunt
Two web domains have been registered in the last two days - bladerunnerandroidsdreammovie.com and androidsdreammovie.com - by a company long used by Warner Bros., according to the BBC. The 1968 novel on which the original film was based was called Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
I think it will be called Blade Runner: Androids Dream.
No way they'll cut the Blade Runner name from the title.
Weird how this news isn't breaking anywhere else. I've e-mailed a few film news sites and no one picked up on it.
We're living in a branding era.
James Bond seems to be the only franchise that got the 'grandfather clause'. Otherwise, if Sony had it their way, we would've been getting James Bond: Skyfall and James Bond: Spectre.
Scott also confirmed that whatever title the film goes under, it will still carry the familiar title. “You don’t want to lose the title ‘Blade Runner’ but I think it’ll be ‘Blade Runner’ plus something,” Scott said.

Will you have final cut on Blade Runner 2?
Oh, yeah. I mean, I always have final cut on everything, really. Partly because Im very user-friendly. I always believe when youre given X amount of money by someone to fk around with and make a movie, you cant draw lines in the sand. If I was an investor and you did that to me, Id remove your ankles. So dont do the auteur st. I respect the guy for giving the money and I respect the studio for saying, Yeah, you want to do this, here we go.
Ryan Gosling is a great choice for Blade Runner 2.
Yeah, and I got Harrison back. Because Harrison said, Mehh, and I said, No, read this. And I think he said, This is the best script Ive ever had. Weve been working on it for a couple of years.
You once said hes a Replicant in the first one.
Of course hes a bloody Replicant! Hes going to have to admit it.
So dont Replicants die after four years?
Im not going to tell you. Youll have to see the story. Itll all make sense.
And youre going to hand over the franchise to Ryan Gosling after that.
Yeah, yeah.
What year will it be set in?
It was 2017, so coming back itll be 2047, roughly. As young as you can play Ryan Gosling. Hes 34, but he looks 27 when hes doing his push-ups. So maybe 2050.

“We are dreaming about it, drawing it, dreaming, drawing,” Villeneuve says. “The movie should be ready in 2017.”
Blade Runner holds a special place in education of Villeneuve as a filmmaker. “This movie is linked to the birth of my passion for cinema. [When it came out] I was a young teenager starting to understand the job of a director.
Blade Runner had a huge impact on me,” he said. “It’s one of my favorite movies of all time. I know this movie by heart. I know every single shot of it. I have a very intimate relationship with this movie.”
“I never thought that this could happen. I’ve been dreaming to do a movie like this since I was very young,” he says. “I feel in my soul that I can do it. But I must say, it’s a big challenge.”
Eh. I could live with it. I think I'd prefer if it was just Androids Dream, though. That's a sexy title.
Deakins revealed that the "Blade Runner" followup will likely be presented in 3D. Asked by the actor if he would ever shoot in 3D, Deakins said: "No, I won't. I've been offered it. I just don't want to. I think I'm gonna do this film with Denis [Villeneuve] that'll be made into 3D eventually, but it won't be shot in 3D. I don't really like watching 3D. I mean, I've worked on a lot of animated movies that were 3D."
