Sherlock Holmes is great an' all, but any H.P. Lovecraft book/short story is better.

I know they're different. I just love Lovecraft stories more than the Holmes books.

But yes, Lovecraft is a brilliant horror writer.. I think the story that got me hooked to him was Rats in the Walls. Definitely one of my favorites.. I think I have every story that is published in a book by him.

And Zen.. I can't remember what that's called.. but I think it's.. The Colour Out of Space or something? I might be confused.

Also love all the Innsmouth-based stories. t:

The disturbing thing about these stories is, in his biography it says that Lovecraft got many of the ideas of his stories from dreams..

That guy must've had nightmares we can only dream of.

Ah. Have you read the story about the invisible beast that's rampaging through this one town/village area and killing everyone? I thought that was one of his better ones, as well.

For some reason I'm blanking out on all the names of these stories.. they're so good, too.
