How do you plagiarize a physical feature? It's not like physical features are original or anything. Y'know, they're kind of inherited and shared amongst living organisms...

You trace the physical feature from someone else's work.

Compare and contrast.

^^What book is the plagiarized pic from?

How can you prove that it was traced? Did you watch Yu trace it? Why would Yu even NEED to trace someone else's work?

I smell ******** son.:whatever:

Uhh...I think we're talking about David Mack here, not Yu...

New Warriors #Whatever - I'm going to give this book the rest of the arc. After that, I think I'm done with it. The art is great, the characters and great, the stories...not so much. I had high hopes for the book when it started, but now it's just not doing it for me.

I will never know how Grevioux took an awesome premise that was practically ****ing written for him and totally botched it. New Warriors is just plain awful.

Oh, well, replace "Yu" with "Mack". Although, I might be less inclined to defend Mack, considering how long I've been swept off my feet by Yu's pencils.

I didn't think it started out that way, tough. The first few issues showed real promise. But the last like, 3 issues have been nothing but standing around and talking about quitting. I'd much rather read a book about these guys running around NYC, busting bad guys and sticking it to Tony and SHIELD.

Yeah, you're nuts. This is a total trace job.

There's really no two ways about it.

HAHAHAHa, holy cow, he turned echo into a chick from Flaunt Magazine???

Well, 1) He didn't trace it. He probably copied it by hand.

And 2) My cover to that issue looks entirely different. A matter of fact, my cover actually looks like Mack drew it.

When it's that similar, is there a difference? Seriously, that's one of the most blatant swipes I've ever seen.

That's because when the original photograph was posted and Mack's constant swiping cam to light, Marvel delayed the book and printed it with a new cover.

Do you know this for a fact? Or are you just putting words in Marvel's mouth? And intentions in Mack's pencils? (I still don't think Mack did that illustration.)

There was definitely promise, but mystery stories need to have some pay-offs along the way to keep the readers interested. Two prime examples are Young Avengers and Daredevil: Father. When the "pay-offs" are lame, the whole work suffers.

You're kidding right? That's the cover that was solicited for months. Only after it was revealed that he ripped it off of a photographer named Watt, did Marvel scrap it and run a different one. This is fact.

so what...is the fact that a cover was plagiarized really gonna affect the decicion to purchase or read said comic. There have been covers redont and plagiarized all over the place.

Well, for starters, it's not just this cover or even this book. A lot of people did some digging after this and it turns out that Mack swipes quite a bit. That's sad in more ways than one.

Besides, it's not like they kept it. They needed SOMETHING to show us. As long as what I bought wasn't ripped off, I really don't care.

if thats the case then im curious as to why they keep giving him work

You do know that the interior work which was swiped was kept, right? So, really you did buy material that was ripped off from other people.
