BOUGHT/THOUGHT for Wednesday, February 28th

The whole series had this under current about Reed not believing in God, but he then sees The Watcher and begins to believe in a higher power.

i'm glad i stayed away. the whole 1602 concept was lame, imo.

Hmmm the story was pretty boring actually. Its all about Doom kidnapping Shakespeare so he could write a play about him and the FF chase him down and they end up in Atlantis and something about Reed believibg in God now. I mean there was some nice moments but overall pretty average. The crappy art doesnt help.

Who was the artist? Can you give me a scan?

Hahaha, I was laughing when Sobek ****ed up Osiris. It was so awesome.

I mean, I liked him when he was all nice and innocent and timid, but he's just like CHOMP all over him. So awesome. Not to mention that Osiris was a ***** and all he did was whine and cry about everything.

Couldn't agree more. I started to hate the character a lot.

Ok, I did, and it was awesome. Terrax ****ing pwns, and Stardust has piqued my interest.

I don't know if Marvel would ever do it. But they should really do like an anthology type ongoing called Heralds or some ****, I would totally buy it.

I would buy it even more than you.

I would buy it more than you and then again when it came out in Spanishian!!:D

I think I'd just buy one.

I'd special order the copy that came out in the UK. Two Englishes = better than English and Spanishian. :cmad:

Don't bother.. Sucky Yenaled killed it.

Yeah, way to interrupt the flow, yen. :o

Sorry guys :(

Wish I were on the Hype to participate in this :(

I'd love a Heralds ongoing though.

Wth? 1602 Reed Richards does believe in God. I remember this very clearly from Gaiman's original series. Did they just not read it or something?

I like that canon Reed Richards believes in God. A belief in science doesn't preclude a belief in God, and I hate the flagrant misconception/stereotype that science invalidates faith.

Agreed.

Boy, isn't that the truth. Both actually compliment each other quite well, in fact.

number one, that depends on what faith you're refering to. there's a lot more out there than the judeo-christian faith.
and number two, more often than not, science does not compliment the christian faith. it's quite the opposite.

then again, that's what faith is, right? believing with no proof?

Faith can lead to proof. Just because you fully believe in something, doesn't mean you don't want to prove it.

Actually, Faith IS defined as "belief that is not based on proof." So no, they don't complement each other, any more than any other two antithetical ideas do.

that's....pretty much what i said.

It's not antithetical. It's just that one has nothing to do with the other.

Science can't prove the existence of God either way, but that's besides the point since no one should need proof to believe in God in the first place. It's like saying, "music is antithetical to painting because one is based on hearing and the other is based on sight." Wait, wha?
