I like Dicklops. I don't want him to die or revert back to his old, square self.
Wolverine has been killing people for years. It didn't come back to bite him in the ass. Authorizing lethal force shoudln't be such a big deal in times like this. Who could lead Mutant Kind if not him? I'm not saying there shouldn't be some bad consequences from some of his choices, but it shouldn't be becouse he decided to deal with some of their more murderous enemies. He is a leader of a people now, and he has to make those choices, that the ones before him refused to do.
If they killed Scarlet Witch when then had the chance, Mutant Kind would still thrive. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, and he's been groomed to be the King Arthur to his kind most of his life.
He didn't even violate the superhero moral code, many of the Avangers are known killers now.(But then again, I don't find Batman's refusal of killing the Joker heroic at the least.)
Taking a life means making a decision for the good of others that will haunt you for the rest of your life. Sacrificing your innocence, your soul, to save lives. THere's something heroic about giving up being a hero.
