It should be all about International Box Office now. That's all that's left. Domestically it will cross 130 which is better than not.

Sony turned a profit from Ghost Rider, but they've given no indication of any interest in a sequel.Yeah, but I'd prefer it make at least 5 million over that domestically. I mean, Sony considers Ghost Rider a success, and it only made 5 million above its production cost in domestic grosses. As it currently stands, I fear RotSS will be seen as a "middling" performer, neither succes nor failure. I suppose that's better than outright failing, though.
I love this board. I always will.

Okay, carry on with the box office discussion.

I think it will happen. If nothing else, done with a cheaper actor as Danny to cut down costs.
This is not Fox.![]()

When did he say that? Kevin Feige recently said that they hadn't heard anything from Sony about a GR sequel.MSJ said there have been "tentative discussions" about it. That indicates interest.

The return on investment was below the threshold that is usually used to justify a sequel. If there is a sequel they probably will recast and bring it in on a reduced budget. If they do make another one I hope it's a lot better than the first one. There's no reason not to do a sequel. It made money, and it was well recieved. For a Feb. release it did excelent.

It's strange, Carp, that you refer to GR's returns as excellent and yet deride Daredevil as a failure. DD had a better ROI than GR did.
GR was not expected to do really great. It performed where it was expected to. DD on the other hand. I saw both. The problem with DD in my opinion was Afleck. He's not a leading actor for any movie. They expected more from DD then they did from Gr.
Nonetheless, in dollars and cents return on investment, DD was more successful than GR. Besides, I think GR's performance is more likely to lead Sony to say, "Whew, we dodged a bullet on that one," rather than, "Yay, let's make a sequel!"GR was not expected to do really great. Carp: let me get this straight.
are you saying that all of the time you spent bashing S.R. was done without you even seeing it???
Say it ain't so.
I can understand someone hating a film if they have saw it, but not if they havent.

They say appearance is everything. If it looks good, you'll buy it. SR looked like it was not good, starting with the suit. The cape looked like a shower curtain, and the rest of it made my skin crawl. I can draw a conclusion from appearance only. Why do you think advertisers put their best foot foward when advertising their product ?
That is as dumb as those that do the same here, ya know, those you call trolls.....![]()
Even in the context of your faux online persona, that was a really obnoxious thing to say. I take it then that you refuse to watch the X-Men films.Let me put it this way. What 2 consenting adults chose to do is their business, and I will uphold their right to do it. But I don't want to see it, or even the appearence of it in my movies, my TV show, or in the government. I did not see Brokeback Mountain, Capote, or SR for that very reason. I refuse to give my money, or my viewing time to such things. If I do, I feel I am giving my approval.
