It could've done better if it had a director that was competent.

I see no problem with Story. As for a director with the clout to fight Fox for creative control. There are not too many who have the resume to do that, and they don't come cheep. Spielberg could, Lucas could, Copola could, Donner could, but you won't get them for what Fox wants to pay. If singer could not wrestle control from Fox............. It's a dead, mute point. It's not going to happen as long as Fox has the rights. Slim and none, and slim went to the gym, and none went to the convent.

I don't have to see it to draw a conclusion. From what I heard, and from the clips I saw, that was enough for me to draw a conclusion. The suit alone turned me sour against the movie. I did not really need to go beyond that.

I'm a film student, and I graduated from college with a degree in it. I know what a director does. So people like you can't tell me I don't.

Was that a degree in bootlicking ? That's what most directors do, they bootlick the studio execs.

Archie, no question. t: No where near as bigoted as he was, but the rest ? Yea. Archie told it as he saw it, and did not care if you liked it or not. He believed a certain way, and noone could change his mind. We need more Archies in this world. Not woosies that change their opinion depending on which way the wind is blowing. Bush is that way.
