I think Transformers will finish a lot closer to Spiderman 3 than people think. It will not finish behind Shrek 3. If it loses to Spiderman 3, it will be less than a 10 million spread.

WW figures will sky rocket with the UK, Japan, France, and Germany releases. I still think Japan is going to be a Transformer's juggernaut.

The original Potter did $150 million in Japan. Subsequently, each sequel has done successively less but if the original Potter can do $150 million, I think Transformers has that same potential in the country it may as well consider "home." Japan's release is 8/4, one of the last countries to get it. I think Paramont may have done that on purpose.

This week/weekend will be the tell-all indication of that is true or not. I personally don't think it'll get that close, but I'd be happy if it did.

After 21 days, it was only $24 seperation. I could see it being $15 seperation at the end.

That's exactly what "they" said about Transformers when Potter debuted, and that didn't happen. The legs on this movie have proven to be good and it's drop will continue to be 40 percentish.
