Harry Potter makes mega $$$ in Japan, but don't be suprised if Transformers puts Potter to shame there. Japan is the land of giant monster and giant robot movies.

that being said..The "pirate" market being what it is
(in japan and Europe of all places)
whats to say they haven't all seen it already?

Fricking boy wizard... and it's not even a blockbuster movie material :(

Tell me about it! I remember a few fools on General chat I think were crying that it never gets nominated and it's just as epic as Lord of the Rings. I was laughing my ass off! I've seen the previous four and they are fun, but a 5th! C'mon people, I don't care if it's an ongoing story in a 7 book series, people would be really sick and tired if they made a 5th Matrix or a 5th Lord of the Rings. I just can't believe people are still flocking in droves to these films with a boy who did a film about banging a horse.:ninja:

Was Harry Potter realesed world wide yet?

Ha hA! Then TF will probably smoke it when it gets released in all countries.

Come on man.....the Potter franchise is extremely well done and well crafted--and that's coming from someone is who wasn't thrilled to see the first film, but has to give credit where credit is due. When I walked out of the theatre, I was thoroughly suprised to see how serious they had taken the material and treated it.

The films are very well made and have consistent quality. You never feel like the films are talking down to you or doesn't take itself serious. There's plenty of action, but it never feels forced or random. Alot of credit has to go to Rowlings for having the fortitude to not let WB turn her lifes work into popcorn fair.

In other words, it's one of the rare fantasy film franchises that is very well crafted and takes itself serious, yet still manages to be very entertaining for all audiences.
