Brad Peyton Directing Lobo

Well, WB already has the perfect actor for this, but they cast him as Aquaman instead. So why not give Joe Manganiello a call? He's got the right look, and can play cocky, motorcycle riding badasses well.

Must have confidence in his Wonder Woman script.

I'm also guessing its' part of the DC Cinematic Universe because it doesn't fit in with the Vertigo line.
it's gotta be part of the DCEU.

i can't wait for this, you know this has gotta be a response to Deadpool, but who cares?

I haven't ever been a huge fan of Lobo but maybe this film will be good enough to finally change that? We'll see.

They have make some d list heroes so good in movies. I think Lobo of have good chance to be great.

Lobo is fantastic. his movie would be Deadpool x Guardians of the Galaxy, and it has a good chance of being better than both.

I recommend watching his DCAU appearances if you haven't already. He's very lovable.

You know it! This movie could be gorgeous if done correctly.

Thanks Deadpool. Cause of him we will get movies we werent dream of ever seeing on big screen. From X-Force, to Lobo to Venom (I hate any project involving Avi Arad, but if it's Agent Venom I'll give it a shot).

Is Peyton still attached to Lobo though? He seems to have a lot on his plate for now.

Fuchs, I'm still on the fence on.

Hopefully this happens! I don't really have any idea who could play him, though. But it's great that Deadpool's success is helping to get projects like this greenlit.

I know he gets thrown around a lot, and he's played his fair share of comic book characters, but Jeffrey Dean Morgan has the right look to me.

I think Kevin Durand would make an awesome Lobo and Matthew Vaughn would be the perfect director for it.

Can they get Guy Ritchie back as the director for this. I was much more interested when he was attached than when Brad Peyton was.

And now Jeffrey Dean Morgan feels wasted in the DCCU. Until the inevitable Batman solo film.

Still, a LOBO movie is all kinds of awesome.

The article says it's his own take, but his own take sounds an awful lot like the basics of the character.

One wonders how much this has to do with DEADPOOL's success.

By his own take, they meant he was going to write the script from scratch, as opposed to touching up one of the many existing ones. Kind of like how Ayer tossed out Justin Marks' Suicide Squad script.

Anywho, this is my Lobo:

I'd love them to get Guy Ritchie back directing. And honestly.... Danny McBride wouldn't even be that bad of a choice. If Pratt can get that in shape for GOTG, I'm sure McBride could for Lobo.

Lobo is like the unscouted zones of the universe. Unscouted by Green Lantern Corps. They could be mentioned. But yeah, all the Lobo comics I've read are worlds that are basically Mos Eisley's cantina x1000. It could be so fun. Hopefully not New 52, but classic Main Man.

There's always Mickey Rourke. I know he was Ivan Vanko in Iron Man 2, but JK Simmons was JJJ but now is JG in DC. :)

Kevin Durand for Lobo, most definitely! Since The Rock is out of the picture, I'd love to see Durand do it. He's always been my top pick for Lobo.

I agree, not a fan of new 52 Lobo. Despite hating everything I was hearing about it, and not being a fan of the design, I gave it a chance... but I just didn't dig it, man. Old school Lobo is where it's at (The Last Czarnian, Lobo's Back, Paramilitary Christmas Special, etc.) Heck, they even did him great in Superman TAS and Justice League. Brad Garret's voice as Lobo was great.

Terry Crews as the Main Man. Just think about it...
