Brave and the Bold Cancelled!

I am going to miss this show. I am defintely going to get these all on DVD when they are released. I am interested in the new Batman show. I would love to see a Batman and The Outsiders animated series or Batman series that is updated with what has been going on comics in the past 20years. We saw some it with the New Batman adventures. It could have Batman, Nightwing, Robin, Oracle, Batgirl, Batwoman, etc. Some of the general public only knows that Dick Grayson is Robin and doesn't know much about the new characters. It would be kind of fresh appraoch without retredding Batman (bruce) and robin (dick) although most recognize them as such.

This is EXACTLY what i want to see. Now that BBATB has been cancelled.

Yeah i hope they keep the Team-up aspect, but maybe with Outsiders/Batfamily only. I just don't wanna see another BTAS attempt.

Yeah the reason I disliked The Batman was because it felt like BTAS lite and the reason I think a lot of people liked Brave and the Bold was because they were doing something different.

Personally, I liked BATB because it was something me and my son could bond with. He is 3 and I felt that The Batman was a little too much for him, but BATB was bright and colorful and most importantly - the teamwork aspect of Batman with the other heroes. Sure, there is violence - but I've been blessed to have a very insightful child that doesn't confuse violence in cartoons with violence in real life.

I will sorely miss BATB - though I sometimes wish they would have gone more into Bruce Wayne, but I guess "The Chill of the Night" kind of covers that a bit.

I am also super excited about the possibility that Superman and Wonderwoman may make appearances in the final 13 episodes.

Sorry to hear. I never really kept up with the show, but I've seen a couple of episodes, and they always felt really fun. I also liked the animation, which I rarely do with newer cartoons, but I will be picking these up on DVD soon. I wish I kept up with it, but I don't have a DVR, and they always aired at times that conflicted with my schedule.

Anyways, lets just hope a newer Batman cartoon will be good. So I guess it's something to look forward to. ;)

BRAVE AND THE BOLD has been a truly great show.

Really sorry to see it go.

:csad:

Too bad. I only was able to catch a few of the first season's episodes, but, as an old school, Bat-fan (started reading PRE- Adam West) I enjoyed the silver-age sensibility of the show a lot. My only consolation is (hopefully) when and if they release a complete series disc set, (which I WILL get) there will be a good number of shows that will be all new to me.

You know what I realized now that this, Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine and the X-Men are cancelled?

Iron Man: Armored Adventures is the last one standing. There is no justice in the world.

The next cartoon should definitely be about the Bat family. That way, we get Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Oracle, Huntress, Batgirl, Batwoman, and the Outsiders. It's really the only thing that wouldn't disappoint me upon annoucement of the new series.

I love this show and will of course miss it dearly... However it did get to 65 episodes and for that we should be gratful, especially after the recent events of The Spectacular Spider-man and Wolverine and the X-men.

Depending on how CN airs them, we have anywhere up to 25 episodes or so premiering over the coming year.

Plus now we can prepare for the shows end and not have the rug pulled out from under us.

Let's enjoy some Batman: The Brave and the Bold goodness while we can. :woot:

According to IGN at the panel it was confirmed that the show will end after 13 episodes more here:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

thank you for a wild batmoble ride

I dont understand how anyone could watch an episode like Mayhem of the Music Meister and then decide to end this series. That episode was life changing!

I am really going to miss this show. i have heard that James Tucker is going to do something different like a cgi show, I am guessing like Clone Wars.
By the way Sawyer who is the lady in your avatar pic? It is awesome and i she looks very familiar.

Jane Lynch as Sue Sylvester on Glee. Easily the most hilarious character of the 21st century.

I have a 3 year old as well and this was our favorite show. Really looked forward to those Friday Knights...Also really enjoyed collecting all the BATB action figures and other merch. Heck I even recently put down $25.00 for a Pop Gun Joker. We will miss this show and all that it still had to offer.

Now that they done campyness of the series, maybe we can get a new serious Batman show? (don't get me wrong I like it for what it is) for fans who like dark serious Batman.

Thats what they said is coming next after Brave and the Bold.

I just don't understand why they didn't just do both at the same time, especially if there are different production teams working on the next one. More people would'nt have had blind hatred for Brave and the Bold if it wasn't the lone Batman show on.
