Anyways, everyone will probably get this DVD as a present for me (birthday's the 4th) so I'm gonna have to give everyone a head's up that i don't want it.

Well said buddy - I hope the spin off's are Fox's last attempts at exploiting Marvel characters.cyke93 said:just shows you how greedy fox is and how they just want to milk every last red cent out of fans... usually a special edition dvd wouldn't come out at least for sometime like x-men 1.5 came out right around the press for x2, i think that was ok .. but yea.. x3.. blah .. why do i want to watch an hour long special on how they fcked up one of my all time fav series .. n butchered the comics i read as a child .. forget it .. il lcatch it all on youtube or from other posters .. lol !

ntcrawler said:Except with NewLine cinema it was understood that the special releases would be coming out 6 months later (and they did need time to make them considering they have footage of the release and award shows). Plus they were made available in a wider range of markets, not like here where Region 1 is being screwed over while everyone else gets the extended 2nd disc.
why is that funny?..... doug liman said the same thing about Mr. and Mrs. smith...gap5ewl said:What I think is funny is Ratner comment on how the final product was his directors cut.....lol.

...and I thank you for that.christhn said:To set the record straight, I hope no one thinks I started this thread to complain. I started it simply to warn those who only want to buy one DVD that they may want to wait for the second release. That is all.
Retroman said:So what are you saying? We're supposed to take it lying down. This an X-Men forum so the only one who can be held accountable for double dipping is Fox. Other studios double/tripple dipping tactics has nothing to do with this. People have every right to be angry i think. They're releasing the special edition set in overseas but not in the U.S.
What they're doing is wrong and it should be said.

I am a fan. I am a fan of the product that we got. In my view, it's worth the money.
The only time I bought a DVD and was disappointed was X-Men 1.5... and that's because the marketing led me on to believe it was a different version of the movie, an extended version like Lord of the Rings, and it wasn't.
I really want an extended version of X-Men with those deleted scenes incorporated into the film, because of the 3 films, that had the best deleted scenes that actually added a lot to the story (I didn't think X2's added much, and I've only seen 4 of the ones from X-Men: The Last Stand so I dunno how those will play out yet)
