The guy is saying he made good money with Batman and that it has opened doors for him, nothing more nothing less. He has said numerous times how he finds the character interesting. exactly. people read too much into things sometimes. Bale wanted the ROLE and he is just saying he got paid well for it.

Bales the kind of actor who would only play a character he really wanted regardless of if the part doesn't pay well. He doesn't seem to Hollywood.

I didn't need a f***ing article to tell me that Bale did Batman Begins for the money. Sure, he also did it because Batman is awesome too.

I have no sources for this, but I remember reading an interview with Bale where he stated that for as long as they keep making batman films and they still want him to play Batman, he will carry on making them. He enjoyed the character that much.
