I think that would be a noticeable recast and most likely Bryan Singer would leave the character out.

What I want to know is how Fox will be able to afford all these actors (and possibly more) and still have enough budget for everything else (including special effects). If this were the first film in the series, you probably wouldn't get this kind of cast together. You'd have a couple of big stars alongside less expensive ones.

Times have changed since the original trilogy. Actors need big films more than big films need actors. Everyone is replaceable. I imagine Ellen, Anne, and Shawn will be a lot cheaper than their X3 days. Plus they won't be on-set for the whole time. Each section of the cast (Past/Future) will be shooting their own section of the movie. They'll be paying them for 2+ months instead of 6.

Just heard this news.It's very surising to have both Anna Paquin and ellen Page back.I really thought It would only be one of them.especilly since Rogue has filled the Kitty role In films.But,this may be case of Anna's schedule with True Blood might limit her use.

I always thought Anna would return.I love the fact she will be back.I liked Ellen as Kitty so I don't mind at all her return.The question always was was she Intrested In returning.Thnakfully she understood the difference between Bryan and Brett Ratner.

Shawn Ashmore Is proof what I have been saying.Ignore the actor's Interviews.They are told to say nothing.Hopefully we will get decent use of Iceman In Iceform.

This brings us up to 6 vets of trilogy.We are probally only looking at 1 or 2 other vets returning.My money Is on STorm or Mystique or both.

This again Is looking like from the cast and Bryan's tweet to be both X4 and first Class 2.

I have to say no to mohawk Storm If Storm Is In film.

The next announcements will probally be for more first Class returnees.

If Singer couldn't get Shawn, he could always have used his twin brother Aaron. Most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference. In fact, Singer should get Aaron as well so that maybe, because of something that happened in the past, it changes Iceman's demeanour and appearance slightly (going from Shawn to Aaron).

Announcing Shawn, Ellen, and Anna together makes sense, and hints that their love triangle may be continuing.

If Halle is returning she'll probably get a tweet to herself, or maybe with another X-Woman.

You could be right about that, Hugh got a tweet to himself and he was the biggest star of the original trilogy, the second biggest star was Halle so maybe they might give her a tweet to herself.

I guess I'm just worried that Fox and Singer may have seen the opinions that people have of Halle/Storm and decided to leave the character out altogether. I hope I'm wrong but I have a strong feeling I'm right and not to toot my own horn but I usually am lol!

This is increasingly the game Hollywood plays. If Sneider doesn't know how to ask the questions, than he should refrain from asking them, and just print what he thinks he knows...

It's not like he's reporting on state secrets, no reason to get all huffy!

Actors play secretive all the time. How is he just noticing this? Is he new? It's all about the surprise factor. Sometimes there can also be legal implications when a deal isn't fully ironed out yet and would be bad to announce it before hand. Guy needs to loosen up.

He gets like this for everything. His problem is that he thinks people owe him answers so he can break a story for his own career and upset their plans. No one owes him a scoop. He's not that important in the scheme of things. Railing against the director because they announced the casting for THEIR MOVIE and not him shows what a self-centred maniac he is.
