Exactly. That lack of regard for continuity in the movie-verse is why the future of this franchise will remain super convoluted until DoFP fixes things once and for all.

Although I'm not much of a fan of Vaughn, I would hazard a guess that those cameos were mandated by the higher-ups, Rothman et al so hopefully they've seen the error of their ways. Or you know, fired

I had this weird idea of the time traveler using Cerebro to somehow, well, go back in time, and find himself in the same spot. But as he/she goes out, it is gradually revealed how everything is different. It could work both ways, future->past, past->future.

Yeah I they might use the Cerebro to time travel.

Didn't James say something about them not meeting face-to-face on film? Anyway, I hope they don't shave his head bald for DoFP--it would just further emphasize the fact that they truly do not resemble each other in the slightest way. James' hair is enough for me to suspend my disbelief decently.
