The production team probably just liked the actor.

Metal can be used for beheading because it's the separation of the vampire's head that makes the difference there. The material used to behead the vampire is irrelevant. For the heart, I guess the rule is that there has to be contact with wood.

I thought about that though and prepared a retort. LOL

If that was true, why was it possible for Willow to stake that vampire with sharpened graphite pencil, when correct me if I'm wrong, but graphite is a metal.

And why is despite the fact that according to Buffy lore magic doesn't work on vampires, there was the spell that gave Angel a soul, the spell that revokes an invite and the spell Willow tried(and failed) to cast, which created a ball of sunlight with , which Buffy could of killed vampires! :cmad:

P.S I might as well ask you now, where should a thread about stop motion animation go?

Yeah, and what's the graphite encased in to make a pencil?

I don't think I've ever heard of magic not working on vampires in the Buffyverse.

Yeah, and what's the graphite encased in to make a pencil?

But the graphite actually peirced the heart, not the wood.:o

I don't think I've ever heard of magic not working on vampires in the Buffyverse.

Actually now I think about, I think it was just a "you can't just magick 'em dead" kinda thing rather than a "magic doesn't work on them." thing.

Yeah, I didn't really miss Cordy until "You're Welcome," but after that I kept thinking of how much better the show would've been if she were still in it. Although, to be honest, she kind of reached the logical conclusion of her character arc. She went from a ditzy, self-obsessed twit to a caring, motherly figure by the end of season 3. What else was there for her to do? I was never a fan of her and Angel getting together.
I was a huge fan of her and Angel together and after 2 seasons of buildup between them, I hated that there was no payoff

Honestly, I didn't miss Cordy one bit in the fifth season. Her story arc was done by the third for me. That's when I just stopped caring about her. I still love "You're Welcome", because it evokes the season 1/2 atmosphere and Cordy's character during that time. She just wasn't as fun in the third, and definitely not in the fourth, season, which just made me deeply apathetic to her.

Although I didn't want her dead, I do think the fifth season, besides the guest appearance, was better off without her. The larger developments (the corruption) in that season really couldn't have happened without her gone.

Yeah, she would've definitely kept Angel from going too far off the deep end. Fred too, which is why she wound up dying as well, I suppose. Damn, without the women, the men on Angel are all a**holes.

I have to disagree with you guys that didn't miss Cordelia in season 5. IMO, Cordy was the heart and soul of Angel and with her character gone, the show just seemed incomplete without her. The episode, "Your Welcome" just reinforced this IMO. This is also my opinion about Giles' absence in season 6 and to a degree season 7 of Buffy. Even though the Scooby Gang added members, the core was always Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles and without Giles it just didn't feel right. The balance was off on both shows without Cordelia and Giles.

The whole point of the fifth season was that it was off balance, which is why it worked well, really well in my opinion. Giles' absence served a similar purpose, but the Scoobies' descent into moral ambiguity wasn't half as interesting as the Angel crew, who had dabbled in the grey for a long time already.

Probably because the Scoobies couldn't take it as far as Angel's crew could. Buffy became self-destructive, but Angel and his people just got plain destructive in every way, compromising morals and doing things that would be outright irredeemable by Scooby standards. Which is, of course, a lot more interesting to see than Buffy banging Spike out of self-loathing.

All those pictures make me want to put one of my dvd's on......oh how I miss how cool this show was....I want to watch season 2 now :p

Angel and Buffy was awesome, that shot of him and her is just great the album cover....some 90's shows where just so good.

Yeah. And just think, if Buffy were only on its second season today, Angel would've probably died before they ever even kissed.

Yes, I'm bitter that Whedon kills one half of every good couple he creates now. :o

so i recently got my mom into watching buffy.. haha... omg i was laughing so hard when she told me she went over to my uncles and he was looking pale... and was like "Bud, i think you need some pigs blood" and my aunt and uncle just turned around and looked at her like WTF? and my mom realized what she had said and was like "sorry ive been watching too much buffy" omg... too funny

IA Cordy was the heart and soul of Angel. I wish she had stayed on through till the end with Your Welcome

hey isn't buffy a lesbian in the comics niow?

Did Angel die again in the comics or something ?

No, Whedon's just been killing off or otherwise getting rid of romantic interests for his protagonists just as they were cusping on interesting relationships all over the place lately. I can think of three or four off the top of my head from the last year alone.
hey isn't buffy a lesbian in the comics niow?
No, she just f***ed a fellow Slayer because she's still kind of an emotionally vulnerable jerk. They made it clear that Buffy's not a lesbian, she just slept with one for a moment of companionship in her otherwise lonely life.
