She was just a new antagonist for Angel, and Gunn was just guilty whenever he saw her. I don't think she interacted with Lorne too much. Spike had that one really funny training scene with her. Other than that, she was really only interesting with Wesley, and that was only because of how good Fred and Wesley were together.

She had that golden moment with Connor as well, but that's part of the training session with Spike I believe.

I doubt we'll have Illyria much longer anyways. What with how After the Fall seems to be preparing us for a Fred come back.

I think we'll somehow wind up with both. The best scenario would be Whedon blatantly ripping off 52 by freeing Fred's soul and allowing her and Wesley to be a ghost couple while Illyria keeps the physical body.

I really wouldnt classify Illyria as one of the best villians. She was only a villian for 1 episode. Even then I really wouldnt say she was a villain bc she was more out of place and unaware than anything. She was an ally for the rest of her appearances

She wanted to lay waste to human civilization and create endless generations of darkness. She was pretty damn villainous first time out.

I guess, but like I said she was out of place, and misniformed. She reawakened several centures too late, and the world around her had changed. She also wanted to reunite with her people, and once she saw that they were long since dead, she pretty much stopped everything else and tried her best to assimilate with humans and live in the same world as them. I guess I kind of felt bad for her in the end, especially since she was lost and alone in this unknown time

But it had Hush (The best episode of all time), Restless (The best season final of them all), Superstar and New Moon Rising (The real end to Oz and Willow)

I always had a problem with Superstar it just felt out of place due to the timing. Now if they would have done that episode during the High School years it would have made more sense.

I can understand why season three is so high, but I can't believe that six and seven are so low. They (along with three) were definitely the best seasons, In my opinion. My list, from most awesome to least awesome, is as follows: 7, 6, 3, 2, 5, 4, 1. For Angel, it's actually a straight countdown: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Well, three and four may be tied.

But we already now that Fred's soul is gone, as in doesn't exist anymore. This is what has me puzzled at current direction with her in the comic. Where is it going to go?

In any scenario: getting rid of Illyria would be lame. There's a lot of interesting potential there.

It had one of (if not the) strongest over-arching story of the show, it had many of the strongest personal stories, it was on the largest scale, and it brought everything in the series to climax. It was, ultimately, the season that tackled the most interesting conflicts, and in the best way. Six has a couple of strong(er?) ones and three is a close contender, but ultimately seven wins out.

I also suppose I am partial to the idea of using the entire season to tell one large story, as opposed to previous seasons, which preferred to tell the larger story intermittently, between standalone episodes. I have nothing against the standalone episodes--indeed, they are some of the best of the series--but using the entire season (or the vast majority, in any case) to tell the conclusion story certainly wins seven some points.

We know that's what someone said. We don't know whether it's true or whether LA being sent to Hell or whether any number of other things that have happened so far have changed it.

And to be honest, the people that said it weren't exactly the most trustworthy people. They could have lied just because they didn't want to see Illyria harmed.

Didn't Joss say in an interview, he always meant to have Fred come back as a ghost on the TV show.

I think he said he would have separated Fred and Illyria somehow, but I don't remember ghosts being involved.

I've finally got round to watching season 4 of Angel (before I only watched the odd episode) and for some reason Lilah's relationship with Wes makes me like her more, I also think Fred became that bit more likeable when she tazered Connor and you could see she was beginning to become undone.:o

I been in such a Buffy mood lately I been playing the game Chaos Bleeds again. Fun game, but not enough levels, and multiplayer sorta sucked. But its a bit underrated and I'd love to see a Buffy and Angel mix in the same format.

Speaking of Angel season 4 Ive been recently thinking about how it could have been differently. So as we all know season 4 had an original direction in which it was supposed to go with Angel fighting an Evil Cordelia. So heres my outline for seasons 4. i would really like opinions please.

Season 4- So the changes i would make start at episode 3.

Cordelia would stay a higher power throughout the whole season.

Doyle would be brought back as well. I know the actor is dead but he was have said to have died in December of 02 so i'm thinking if he had a job things might have been different.

Groo and Gwen would become members of Angel inc as well

The members of the group for that season would consist of Angel,Wesley, Fred, Gunn, Lorne,Doyle, Gwen, Groo and Connor, and Cordelia (who would help from above) giving the group a total of 10 members

Instead of Cordelia descending down she would stay up like i said before. Then Skip the demon would present him to Angel Inc. telling them what happened to Cordelia and Skip would convince them that she is there for a reason and they would leave it alone.

The major twist with Skip for the season is that Skip is working for Jasmine to make sure that she is able to walk on the earth. After Skip gave Cordelia her visions he was exiled from having a link with the PTB but jasmine saw that she could use them. In order for jasmine to walk the earth there needs to be a transfer of essences at the same time. So when Cordelia was ascending jasmine's essence was descending down somewhere on earth into the atmosphere. A cult that woships jasmine performs a ritual to make the beast appear so that he can block out the sun and create a mystical orb. It cant be created in just any area but it has to be created in an area with high magical energy (Connor's birthplace) The orb has enough energy to gather the essence of jasmine inside of it and contain her . The orb can only release Jasmine if a large amount of sacrifices are made.

Skip has the ability to astrally project and communicate with Cordelia and while doing this he tells her to try and use her god like powers to aid them from above. What Cordelia doesn't know is that she is a PTB now but shes trapped in a dimension that jasmine was trapped in. The other powers didnt like her idea so they banished her to a dimension where she wouldnt cause any trouble but still had power. Cordelia is now in that dimension which is why she cant communicate with other powers like herself an only relies on Skip to tell her things.

so with her powers i shes able to open up a portal and bring back Doyle and give him the ability of visions once again, which leads him to the hotel. Gwen and Groo come of their own accord over time.

lol thats what i have so far about how id reshape season 4. its kinda over the place but im getting tired. You guys will probably be able to point plotholes and stuff so feel free too. And its all out of order but illupdate later after im rested and i get feedback.

i dunno, while season 4 isnt the best its still not bad... i think angelus's return was needed... though i probably might of made it more of an impact, and i loved Lilah in that season, and her death. I also loved the fact they ended up working for there greatest enemies...

I love every season of Buffy, (although I love season four its my least favourite) granted they didn't always get it right Beer Bad, Doublemeat Palace etc but overall it was one of the most exciting, innovative shows around and I'm delighted I got to live through and grow up with it. I'm loving the season eight comics it makes sense for the Buffyverse to continue in this format as there's no budget limitations or return of Characters. And although the show ended perfectly The Buffyverse is just too detailed and expansive that it couldn't ever have been forgotten and just had to be continued.

The worst season of Angel was Season Two it felt like they had about 6 stories going on and not in the good way up until Darla and Dru left it just became stand alone after stand alone, still enjoyable of course and I enjoyed the Pylea stuff but it just felt a bit filler. But Seasons 3-5 were fantastic and more than made up for it, besides early season two ramifications came into play big time.

I've yet to read any of the Angel:After the Fall Comics as they're hard to come by where I live, but looking forward to reading them
