No, it's not funny, Olberman makes himself out to be a News Anchor, O'Reilly makes himself out to be a Commentator. There is a difference. One tells you the "truth" the other tells you his opinion. Once we lose News and all we have is opinion, in diguise as the truth, we've lost Freedom to make our own opinion.

Again, 1984.

didn't he preface all his speech with " again a special commentary..."
I heard it.
plus, there was a " special comment" label underneath his damned head.

It is stated that Olberman is considered a Journalist. But, Journalists are NOT commentators. He is misrepresenting his field, and is supposed to be UNBIASED. O'Reily, Hannity and Beck are Commentators, they are supposed to give Opinion.

Olberman is a Hack!

Olberman is an *******.

Its funny how the very people that bash O'Reilly - whose style is far less biased, aggressive and immature than Olberman - are the very ones that salute Keith.

Really? Hm.

I think you should watch this:

[YT]O2KU02lsfH8&feature=related[/YT]

O'Reilly disgraces American soldiers as war criminals and compares them to Nazis in the Malmedy massacre. O'Reilly disgraces the history and valor of patriotic heroes and calls them war criminals. How does that arrogant falafel-sniffing bastard still have a show? Moreover, sleaze FoxNews tries to cover up O'Reilly's ridiculous claims by changing the transcript. Then, Olbermann...

didn't countdown with Keith start in 2002, like a year removed from 9-11 coverage and his award?

Are you saying that MSNBC does not consider him an Anchor/Journalist?

Hold on, Edward Murrow is a journalist with considerable stature and decoration, but wasn't he seen as a commentator, and harsh critic, against McCarthyism?

So this little spat about whether Olbermann is/is not a journalist is silly.

I'm saying that what you cited, an award for journalism was not given to him for his commentary, it was given to him for reporting, for practicing JOURNALISM.

exactly.

Keith Olbermann has been fairly annoying as of late.

I don't know if 'fascist' is the proper term to call Bush, but the examples Olbermann used are backed up by the supplied definition of fascism. I personally would have used 'extremist.' Maybe an 'ideological terrorist.' But 'fascist' may be a bit harsh... kind of.

simple enough even for you to understand

lmao!!!!

I think, to a certain extent, both O'Reilly and Olberman are *******s. They are pretentious, egotistical, arrogant pricks. Thats not an insult as much as it is a statement of facts.

I say O'Reilly is less bias only because he does not appear to be as one sided, politically. O'Reilly has called out the GOP and the DNC, bashed Bush and bashed Bush's opposition.

O'Reilly also doesn't go around naming people "The WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD!" for things he simply doesn't like. I find that a rather immature segment by Olbermann, especially sense he regularly uses it to bash his competition - rather than child molesters, rapists and murderers. I also watched an episode of Countdown where Olbermann gleefully bragged to O'Reilly that the previous night his rerun got higher ratings than O'Reilly's. Thats...well...immature.

Thats the difference I see between the two. I find that they are both, to an extent, the same - but Olbermann, at times, goes even further than O'Reilly.

But he does call them "pin heads". :woot:

Give O'Reilly credit for at least having people on his show that he will debate.

Olberman only has people on who agree with him. What's he scared of?

And give credit to Olbermann for being civil to his guests. I've yet to see him cut off someone's mike or tell a guest to shut up

screaming at someone and cutting off their mic isn't exactly what I'd call a debate.
but then. that's just me.

*cuts of Mr. Sparkle's internet access*

Shut up, shut up, shut up!

*puts fingers in ears and hums a "Stars Spangled Banner"*

YES IT IS DEBATING. YES. IT. IS!

but then. that's just me.

Maybe you're just to un-American, un-free, to realize how stupid you t'is.

*plays national anthem*

Consider yourself falafelized, terrorist!

Because he states the obvious............to bad some can't see it.

Eh...It's not really an "owning" simply because that's exactly what I expect Olberman to say. Not saying I disagree with it, but if you want to make a thread about Bush getting "owned" at least have him getting owned by someone whose opinion matters to him.

I used to respect him, but now, I think I pity him. No man should stay that angry for that long. It can't be healthy.

Call it/him what you will, fascist, terrorist -- Olberowned? -- whatever! There are a million Iraqis dead, 2-3 million displaced (I know these numbers don't mean much to you people since they're dirty Moozzies), 4000 American soldiers (but this one should mean something...maybe!); depleting liberties, like Habeas corpus...I could go on all night about this war criminal!

At least someone in the news media has the gulls to stand up to this terrorist!

I've only watched this guy once before, but after that load of bias opinion, he still calls himself a journalist? :lmao:
