For all the ****ty movie tie-in games they have made (superman, CATWOMEN, batman,...cars... ect.) why the hell can't they do a massive war game for 300 on the 360 and ps3?? with the power of the new systems, having hundreds of soldiers duking it out at once would be so fun. anyone agree?
 
what would the game be? Just the battle of Thermopylae would suck. I mean yeah it would be cool at first to see all those warriors on screen, but it would get old pretty quickly...like Dynasty Warriors
 
And it sucked. The evidence of a bad game or several bad games doesn't mean that this should have a game. Quite the oppositte IMO.
 
Frank could easily right a story that covers the events that took place after the battle..... expand it there.... it could be very cool....

have the game start out that your a little kid... being trained like a warrior.... figthing against wolves and adults.....

have you earn your way up through the ranks to become a spartan warrior....

they could even do it where it's a "choose your own fate" type game.... you could choose to fight the battle that the 300 fought... or you could be back to the city, and defend it there....

I used to enjoy it quite a bit as well, but you have to admit that it gets extremely repetetive. And Dynasty Warriors at least have many different battles and different characters to choose from all with completely different weapons. A 300 game would be just one main battle and everyone would just have a sword, sheild and a spear making even more repeptive than Dynasty Warriors.

Lol, verily. It does indeed get repetitive, but weapons, dialogue, movesets, appearance, and stuff like that give it replay value. A 300 game would have to cover like that whole time period the way Dynasty and Samurai Warriors games do.

But, the book only revolves around that battle...
 
All they gotta do is throw in extra stuff. Have the game revolve around more then the battle. Or set it before or after the events of the film.

I'd love to play a 300 game, imagine the visuals on the PS3 or Xbox360.
 
I hope Koei will soon make a Dynasty/Samurai Warriors game based on Greek history/myths, like they just did with Medieval Europe on Blade Storm.
That way they could have also the Thermophylae battle and Leonidas as selectable character... They already have Elephants, horses and Tigers units in DW series, really the game is already there, they just have to make new skins...Heck they could cover not only Greece History, but all mediterranean many wars, they could make several episodes to cover them all.. picking the best battles, egyptian, greek, roman..
 
Dynasty Warriors kicks ass.... only reason its repetitive is because there are like 10 versions of the game out there, which is really 10 versions of the same thing. A 300 game would kick ass. Dynasty Warriors made me wish that all sword games were made like that (Imagine how badass a LOTR game would have been in that style.)

You wouldnt need to add anything either. The story is split up into enough parts to make a fun game out of. With a co-op or vs. mode- and create your own character you'd get all the play out of it you could ever want.
 
There was apparently a DW style game with some referenxe to thermopylae, Spartan total warrior, even if it was historically very inaccurate ..spartan vs roman and gods/myths
 
It's kind of funny... I was at E3 last year and went into the WB room and played this unknown game called 300 that looked pretty cool. Back almost a year ago no one knew wtf 300 even was...

The worst part is that the game was pretty bad. I don't like PSP's anyway and the few things I played weren't at all that fun. It's a shame because I was thinking recently that holy crap a full-on video game would be amazing... but damnit all they have is a PSP version...
 
It's because 300 isn't that well known.

Neither was Sin City until the film came out.

Face it...movies bring comics into full-swing...it's only because of the film that this game is even being made. Hopefully when it's made a gajillion dollars at the box office I get me one shiny beaut of a 300 game for my XBox 360
 
A game with this setting would deff be amazing. It would need to be ALOT darker and alot more violent than DW to be effective tho. The reason i never could get into DW was of the lame ass "light" attacks, if that game would have taken a much more realistic approach, man it would be amazing.
 
has anyone seen their answer to the video game problem personaly i think they could have done it alot better and released on more consoles like ps2, ps3,xbox360 and the nintendo wii insted of just the psp which the graphics to be honest look crap what does everyone else think
