Think we might get any? Something to bridge the gap between MOS and BVS, perhaps? Or something to give us a taste of this universe's Batman backstory?

If we do, I hope there's a sense of vitality/canon to it, and not just "Hey, we're doing a CBM, let's put out a comic for s***s and giggles."

I think someone already posted a pre order page from amazon. It had no picture and a December release me thinks.

Let me guess how that one is gonna go...

Page 1: There was a man from another planet...
Page 2: His name was SUPERMAN!
Page 3: He knocked down a lot of s***.
Page 4: And someone took notice...
Page 5: His name was BATMAN!
Page 6: And now they're gonna FIGHT!
Page 7: THE END

I really think, with a 20 year tenure as the Batman, there should be story to tell in GN form that won't step on the toes of this or any future Bat-movie.

I'd like to think that too. I was hoping for a full fledged GN. Everything else DC related gets one.

my theory is that since man of steels comic tie-in dealt with the past of krypton and Kara zor-el i think that WB/DC will release a BvS prequel comic mainly focusing on batmans 20 years as the cape crusader and how he became the type of Batman that we have know, discussing things from iconic events to well known villians

I think we'll get a digital prequel comic similar to MoS from DC (not that Scholastic kids book).

As for a full-blown OGN, I doubt it. Though, who knows... Each of the Arkham games has got a tie-in series and later collected in trades. Maybe they'll do the same thing with the movies now that the DCEU is building up.

I don't know, DC is putting effort into getting OGN lines up and running (Earth One, Multiversity Too, there's going to be some for Milestone). I could see them doing one for the DCEU and putting out 1-2 a year to flesh the universe out.

I won't be surprised if this prequel comic actually focuses on Diana.

Would be great to have a Daily Planet tie in one issue comic. See what Lois and especially Clark have been up to as journalist's since MOS.

what if the comic tie-in connects to the big threat in the film, serving as a mini backstory for it

Publishers generally don't like to do that because most people don't read comics anyway. If you were to give away pertinent info key to the film, it'd be in a small pool only a small percentage of the audience is gonna read.

Like others mentioned, the Man of Steel prequel was more or less irrelevant to the film itself. It was just some backstory about how that crashed space ship got there.

then maybe it could expand the knowledge of the wider DCEU such as paradise island or gotham city

Author Michael Kogge, who’s writing the Star Wars Rebels novels and written Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is writing a junior tie-in prequel novel for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Kogge confirms his involvement in an interview with Santa Monica Mirror, when talking about his love for the superhero universe and for the characters of Batman and Superman.

“It’s such a pleasure to be writing Batman and Superman,” Kogge said. “I’ve always loved those characters so it’s working with another mythology.”

He also confirmed it on Rebel Force Radio recently.

I'd like to see that presented in a 12 issues mini series.
Hoping they choose to make it a weekly release.

Thanks to Bat-Rich for finding the a new pic and an update on the prequel BvS novel.

An original companion novel, set before the events of Batman v Superman(TM): Dawn of Justice.

Batman(TM) and Superman(TM) are on the case!

After saving Metropolis from an alien invasion, Superman is now famous around the world. Meanwhile Gotham City's own guardian, Batman, would rather fight crime from the shadows. But when the devious Doctor Aesop escapes from Arkham Asylum, the two very different heroes begin investigating the same case and a young boy is caught in the cross fire.

This action-packed junior novel tells an original story about the stars of Batman v Superman(TM): Dawn of Justice. The book also includes a full-color insert with images from the feature film.

So in this book, Batman and Superman appear on CNN's Crossfire?
