Michael’s comments

Start of 2007

I had a very quiet family Christmas at home just enjoying the simple pleasures of life, then I went straight into preparing for "Sleuth".

I am really enjoying filming "Sleuth" at the moment with Jude Law who is doing his best work ever. Kenneth Branagh is a joy to work with, he is one of the best Director's around.

We have nearly finished this challenging and very different "Sleuth" from my previous version. More on that soon.

My next project will be "Batman" but it still hasn't been decided when we will start shooting. I am, therefore, looking forward to a much needed rest and a good holiday, so I'll be catching up with my sleep, listening to my music, watching films and ofcourse working in my garden.

I'll keep you informed

Is it possible that casting is the reason for the hold up?

Goddamit Dent...why do you torture us?! :csad:

Has to be casting. Dang! They need to start filming!

hmmmm this is really pissing me off GET TO THE CASTING DAMMIT

People are stupid if they passed on Two-Face, I think whatever A-listers who have turned it down have seen it as simply "not the joker". But Two-Face is a very juicy role that would allow the star the unique opportunity of playing a hero and a villain.

Exactly. Yes, it would be a gift to any REAL actor to play a role with such complexity.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to hear they are pushing filming and release back a bit

is there a shakedown going in WB? first its this whole Wonder Woman and Flash fiasco, then delays with Batman. whats going on?

originally he was going to start in April..thats very interesting indeed.

Caine always comes off as a little absent minded in interviews, so I wouldn't read too much into his comments about not knowing when TDK starts filming. He probably really doesn't know, but that doesn't mean the TDK crew is in limbo.

The latest word was that pre production started in January and filming starts in March. I would go with that.

couldnt they start filming the scenes that dont have dent or do they have to go in order?

I don't think they make most movies in chronalogical order, but the scenes that save them the most tijme and money.

And if the hold up is because they haven't decided on who will play Dent then this might mean a lot of screen time for ol' Harvey.

They started January 11th, but principal will probably start in Late March or April I'm sure........

Is it time to hit the button yet? :woot:

Wouldn't it suck to see this?

Nolan Departs from TDK and Warner Brother

A WB spokeman says, "We just decided that Mr. Nolan's vision wasn't the same as ours on this production. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."

Caine clowns around too much in his interviews but he brings a lot of info.
He did joke around in Israel tv that Katie didnt want the role and was offering the roles to the reporters but turns out he wasnt kidding at all.

Its not Batman related but indeed there's a major shakedown going on at Warner Bros. Many have been losing their jobs and while they ask new folks to work for them with tons of money offered this new employees end up wanting to leave the studio because its not a fun place to be anymore.
But other studios they left Warner for wont take them back until 2-3 years span. They call it 'no salary hopping'.
It must be that bad if they wonna leave despite their big salaries.
Many say the golden years of Warner Bros. was during the reign of Terry Semel. Semel is now the boss of Yahoo.

No way there pushing back the film's release! I mean the shooting can be delayed until this summer and it would still have plenty of time for summer 08 release! No worries for me:)

Interesting info.

Maybe there's something fishy going on at WB, but I don't think there's anything to worry about with TDK. I think some people are overreacting a bit.
