Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

I'm actually pretty psyched for this one, looks like it could be a lot of fun. I loved modern warfare 3 so I'd love to see what sledgehammer can pull off with more development time and a next gen first approach.

Exactly same here. That's why this has such potential. Next gen specific attention first. And the fact that it's been in development for 3 years. Not just made year by year and put out like the others in the series.

Apparently, Xbox is getting DLC first like last gen. I hate how they do that, but oh well, I have a 360 and X1.

Really?

I doubt ill pick the game up as Iv waived goodbye to CoD long ago, but this is the first game since MW2 that im actually intrigued by. Snagging a guy like Kevin Spacey isn't anything to sneeze at. Thats pretty cool.

Yea this game is the first of the new 3 year development cycle for call of duty games. There's still gonna be a cod game every year but they're rotating developers each year, this one is sledgehammer and there's also infinity ward and treyarch.

was invested the second i saw Kevin Spacey in the trailer :D definitely want to play this one at launch

I've been fatigued with this series for quite a while now. Aping Matt Damon in Elysium and creating an obviously directed sci-fi competitor to Titanfall doesn't do anything for me. I mean I guess it's good that they're changing up the formula but I doubt it will be a revolutionary change. Kevin Spacey just seems like stunt casting to me.

Call of Duty had already started going down a sci-fi path with BLOPS II. I don't know that it's fair to say they got that from Titanfall.

IDK, I'm by no means a CoD fan, but I don't get the feeling Spacey was just thrown in.

They've been getting some big celebrities for the last few COD games. I feel like it's been going on the last 4 or 5 years or so.

But to this extent? Mocap and all? Most have just been lending their voice no?

I'm aware of the 3 dev cycle, but did this actually get a full 3 years of development?

That's what sledgehammer/Activision is saying. I know that by the time is comes out it will have been 3 years since mw3 was released.

Looks interesting. Definitely glad that it's a next gen game 1st.

I had written the CoD franchise off.. and I swear I do every year. Every year I play the new game.. like it for a few days and then everything goes to crap and I stop playing.

After Ghosts I swore I was done forever with the franchise.. to the point where I was going to tell my wife to remind me that I was DONE with CoD when the next one reared it's head..

Man..

Haha gotta have some will power man. But I know what ya mean. I haven't owned a CoD since MW2 and have only played one of the games since then, but this one, this one has my curiosity.

I haven't even bought Ghosts yet and am not in a rush to. Not that I won't enjoy it when I get it but I don't need to play these near release date any more. A bit of genre fatigue I guess.

Eh you can skip out on ghosts if you ask me, I found it very underwhelming, both the mp and sp

For those who are interested in this new game, check out the site above. Main news page right now has a bunch of info and details on the game. Being built on a new engine, plus other new bits of info.

I hated Ghosts and thought I was done with the franchise for good..Until I read about this game in game informer and saw the trailer,It's not a guaranteed purchase but I am interested and hope to see more(most likely will be there anyway)at E3

Haven't had any interest in a COD game since Modern Warfare 2, but like many here my interest has picked up with a combo of having Spacey and changing things up as far as the tools are concerned. In no way am I sold, but I'm interested. Which is certainly more then can be said since 2009.
