I find it rather interesting that they didn't put 5 in the title. Maybe it's just another spin-off title that no one gives a damn about like Finest Hour and Big Red One (which Treyarch developed) while Infinity Ward is developing the real Call of Duty 5. Hey...one can dream right?

Finest Hour was developed by Spark Interactive, not Treyarch.

Actually, they have. This will be the last Call of Duty game not to be developed by Infinity Ward. IW will be taking over full time for the dev'ing of the CoD franchise.

CoD4 was my first CoD game, so I can't speak about the 3rd one. However it seems to be universally panned compared to the others (on these boards as well), so that has me less than enthused since it's the same developers as 3.

Hardly 'universally panned' with a metascores and user scores in the mid 80's, and sales to match, sometimes you gotta make up your own mind on things. Cod4 is better though.

No, but I read all the news. If there is a rumor it has to be proven true or false at some point in time. All I'm saying is that more often than not rumors turn out to be wholly or at least partially true.

I'll say this, 90% of all of the 'rumors' about CoD:WaW are complete and utter hogwash, the disinformation that prevails is astounding sometings, and actually funny.

I used to be pretty hard on them as well. I hated and continue to hate Call of Duty 3. But you have to consider that game's total production time was less than a year. The've had more than double that time to work on World at War. Anyway, I'm being uncharacteristically generous with Treyarch and willing to give them a second chance because I like what I've seen so far.

Im mostly picking this up for multiplayer. Its basically the same thing as COD4's. Same engine with new perks. So i should be happy.

We'll see. But Treyarch has a pretty poor performance record with just about everything they do. Theres a good chance this be better than the horribly mediocre CoD3 but i doubt it tops CoD4 or even CoD2.

Yea, that makes sense. I'm not bored of CoD4 yet and iv already purchased a WWII era game this yr and i dont see myself picking up another, especially one made by Treyarch.

Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway.

I was a big fan of the previous two and i am really enjoying this one. Its not as "next gen" as i had hoped and the MP needs much to be desired but its still a really good game with a gripping story.

Yea, came out Tuesday in the States. If you like HBO's Band of Brothers, youll enjoy how this game looks and feels.

Man....could this actually be CoD4 set in WW2?
Cause I'll be honest, if it is, I'll buy it in a second. I like WW2 games a lot more than in modern times, as great as CoD4 is.

Cant wait for this. Theres a ton of games coming out within the next 2 months or so. This is on my must buy list though.
