The Dark Knight Call Sheet info for this week

Well, Harto HAS been cast as Reese right? And he is a real actor... Hall's role, if it were Reese, wouldn't be so secretive that they'd have to use some fake casting? It's still just a reporter!

Yea, but we don't know if Reese is actually a reporter or just some punk kid. I don't know if HC have just mixed up 2 roles or what, the Bruce jealousy thing seems more like a young mans game, with AMH being Engel. The only things to support it though is the London scene is very likely the Engel side, and AMH not being part of any of the press conferences scenes.

So you'd be in agreement that Hall as Engel will be some sort of Anchor with Reese as a reporter?

I swear to god I need to LEARN those sides... I keep forgetting them!

Seems that way, or AMH is Engel and the reporter, and Reese is just a kid with information

I think Harto looks too old to be playing some street teenager or something.

I just get the impression that he's a young reporter trying to get ahead and impress people.

Maybe Hall as Engel would be this Ron Burgondy type Anchor man, he's kind of a big deal... People KNOW him. He's a man's man, lady's man, man about town, a bit of a celebrity? The big Gotham Anchorman? But with the return of Bruce and his playboy ways, he gets relegated, spurring his jealousy of the man.

Maybe Reese is hired by Hall in an investigative reporter capacity to dig up some dirt on Bruce?

That's a cool idea!

But I still think AMH playing Engel means he's called Mr. E., possibly the Riddler later. :oldrazz: :woot:

That would be brilliant...

But tecnology isn't her thing, she goes for jewellery etc, no? It also seems to be tied to the uncovering of batman's identity, with which she hasn't been mentioned in conjunction...

But yes, that would be TRÉS cool.

She does usually go for jewelery but in this version she might just be a high-end cat burglar for who ever is willing to pay. If Reese and/or Harto wanted to break into R&D I doubt they could do it themselves. And going on a date with Bruce might even be part of her instructions, to get closer to Batman.

Wild speculation, but you never know

Now that would be a shock, wouldn't it? :oldrazz:
I think you know something. I've been suggesting that they are shooting back to back sequels. For one film it does seem like a lot. A huge film. The rise of Dent. The Joker. The fall of Dent. The end of Joker. The rise of Two-Face. The end of Maroni. So on and so forth. I'm thinking summer 2008, winter 2008/Summer 2009 for this third film. I don't know why. Maybe it's the fact that Justice League will be out then, and apparently they are confident it won't infringe on Nolan's world. Maybe because Nolan's vision will be fulfilled by then. Also, they shot in Chicago twice as long as they did for Batman Begins. The left the sets of the Batcave, etc up in England but wouldn't be using the Batcave set until movie three, why not pack it up if it isn't going to be used for 4-5 years? All kinds of things lead me to think it could happen.

But then- practically it, it probably won't.

Batman Begins; The fall of Bruce. Ras. The training of Bruce. Scarecrow. The rise of Batman. The end of Scarecrow. The end of Ras. The end of Falcone. That's actually more than your list for TDK, and that's not even mentioning the GPD stuff, or Rachael, and Begins was just one film.

Yeah, but I was condensing it.

Joker.
Bruce Wayne.
Gordon, his "death", "return".
Gordon's wife/Harvey Dent subplot.
Dent claiming to be Batman
Reese vs Fox
This new reporter that knows Batman's identity.
Sal Maroni.
The fake Batmen.
Gamble.
Gator.
Mob wars, etc.
Rachel, Dent, Bruce.
Two-Face.

And I'm sure there are more key points I'm forgetting. Bottom line, there is a WHOLE lot in this film. I'm seeing it as a much bigger story than its predecessor.

I agree, they've got a lot to tackle. I'm sure they'll be able to underscore it all in one film. Should be very interest, but I don't think they're shooting two films back to back. We would have heard something about it, and it would have taken much longer.

Plus you are forgetting in Batman Begins we have over an hour of exposition before we begin to tackle the problem in Gotham... this time we are in Gotham in the get go, tackling the problem right away -- it makes sense if you are making a film again with around 330 scenes that it would be this complex.. this isn't X3 with 120 scenes... BB has about 340 scenes - this will be about the same but without having 160 of those scenes be exposition.
