EXT. WAYNE MANNER
BRUCE REMOVES RACHEL'S KNICKERS.
[END OF SCENE]
BRUCE REMOVES RACHEL'S KNICKERS.
[END OF SCENE]
Here's my take on a climax of THE DARK KNIGHT.
I did it on final draft, so it's in .pdf form for you all. Let me know what you think!
a bit on the drama side isnt it?
yeah its a little talk-y, some of the Dent conversation between Gordon and Bats can be for another scene altogether, but you do great in describing the visuals, specially that batsignal-smiley, that was cool!
I don't really know how to write screenplays, but I'll try my best.
EXT. ABANDONED APARTMENT BUILDING - NIGHT
A swarm of Gotham City police cars surrounds an old, broken-down apartment building. All officers are standing outside of their vehicles, guns drawn, and a few choppers hover over the building shining spotlights at the windows. A car pulls up to the scene and Lt. Jim Gordon quickly jumps out and races to the nearest officer.
Gordon: Merkel, do we have him?
Merkel: Yes sir. His last call was traced back to this apartment complex less than five minutes ago. He ain't getting out of there.
Another car pulls up to the scene and parks next to Gordon's. The back door swings open to reveal District Attorney Harvey Dent, waving his hair back and fixing his tie as he jogs up to Gordon.
Dent: Is he in there?
Gordon: We have him.
Dent: Thank God. What's the hold up?
Gordon: We're waiting for swat. We're not going to make the same mistake as last time; too many good men were killed.
Dent: And what of our mutual "acquaintance".
Gordon: He's here.
Dent: You see him?
Gordon: No. But I know he's here.
Five stories up, on the rooftop of a neighboring building, looms the Batman, as still as a statue. He glares down at the street, witnessing the chaotic scene. He shifts his perspective from the street, to the windows of the apartment building, to the buildings roof, and back down to the building's doors, making sure to cover all exits. As he watches the crowd, he notices four swat cars pull up and spots Gordon ordering a group of them around the other side of the building, Dent standing close by.
Gordon: You men go around the front; Squads two and three, cover the sides. Lets move!
All four swat teams enter the apartment building, and the huge crowd seems to go silent. Everyone waits in anticipation, while Gordon communicates with the Swat Leader via walkie-talkie. Minutes go by in silence.
Gordon (into walkie-talkie): Anything yet?
Swat Leader (O.S.): Nothing. Wait, wait a minute...there's movement.
Gordon (into walkie-talkie): Yes?
Swat Leader (O.S): Negative. It's just a cat.
Gordon (into walkie-talkie): Stay sharp.
Gordon glances around and notices Batman on a nearby rooftop, a worried look on his face.
Gordon (to himself): Stay sharp, my friend. Stay sharp.
(into walkie-talkie): How're we doing?
Swat Leader: We're on the fourth floor. There's a room with a barricaded door, we can't get inside. I'm blowing it.
Gordon (into walkie-talkie): Go ahead.
A small explosion is heard over the walkie-talkie and the crowd freezes, as minutes pass by in silence. Neither Gordon nor Dent can take their eyes off of the walkie-talkie.
Swat Leader (O.S.): Lieutenant, there's nobody here.
Dent: Damn it.
Gordon (into walkie-talkie): Get out of there. I repeat, get out of there.
Swat Leader (O.S.): Wait, the phone is ringing.
Gordon (into walkie-talkie): DON'T TOUCH IT!!!
Just then, the entire apartment complex goes up in flame and a simultaneous, deafening explosion pierces the ears of the crowd. The result is chaos. The crowds silence is broken, police cars are retreating, and dozens of people are scattering from the dibris. In the ensuing panic, Gordon glances up to the rooftop across the street and notices that the Batman is gone. In a nearby alley, a tall, lean figure casually walks away, unseen.
Quite good, only the whole "swat goes in, nobody there, answers phone, room blows up, guy walks off" thing is STRAIGHT out of Rush Hour 1.
i thought this was a forum dedicated to the movie The Dark Knight?I started a thread like this a while back, but it looks like it was deleted. This is for us creative people who want to put our ideas down and see what people think about them. Criticisms are allowed, but please try not to be too harsh OK guys?None of us in here are professional screenwriters (so far as we know, at least).
awesomeBatman: Why the hell is this thread here? This isn't a TDK spoiler
The Joker: Maybe cuz the dude doesn't know how to read?
Batman: Betcha Hunter moves it soon
Joker: Yup. You like your new outfit?
Batman: Yeah, my Bat-nutz don't chafe as much. C'mon, lets go get you some more Kool-Aid. Your smile is starting to fade
Dark Sentinal, very good stuff, espically your Bats/Gordon/Harv rooftop scene and Joker and Dent with the gallows.![]()
thanks JRK, but Joker and Dent with the gallows wasn't mine. that one is all Drunken Savior's work. you've got some pretty interesting ideas too, hopefully we'll see more as the thread grows
point being this thread doesn't belong in this forum.it is.....your point being...?
INT. ARKHAM ASYLUM DAY
Inside a holding cell, Joker shuffles an old deck of cards. His eyes stare blankly at the wall, deep in sadistic thought. Footsteps approach his cell, but he ignores the sound, lost in his own mind.
The gentle voice of a woman calls him.
WOMAN
Jack.
The Joker is unresponsive. He continues shuffling his cards.
WOMAN
Jack, can you hear me? My name is Dr. Harley Quinn.
Ive been instructed to evaluate you before trial.
Harley takes a deep breath, then types in a code on the keypad by the door. SWOOSH! The door to Jokers cell opens.
Dr. Quinn sits down on the end of his bed, blocking his stare at the wall. Joker stops shuffling his cards. He locks eyes with the doctors. A sickening smile spreads across his lips.
JOKER
Hello.
END CREDITS.

You can't just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!
*The idea of the scene is that Joker is targeting cops and the higher authorities of Gotham. Thus, Commissioner Loeb has an armed guard around him at all times.*...
