It would have been nice if they just gave him a slight green tinge; something barely noticeable so that it doesn't detract from the seriousness, but enough to let you think something is up with the kid.
I'm still hoping they pull a Rogue on Leech and Callisto and and allow them to acquire their trademarks during the movie

I would want him to have something like Toad did in X1. It doesn't look too distracting, but it still is noticable.

I thought Leech looked alright in the trailer. Bald Leech makes up for green Leech for me. Plus, Cameron Bright is already creepy as it is. And a green Leech in a white room would be distracting. I like him the way he is.

Leech not being green doesn't really bother me. To be honest and fair, you can't compare him to Nightcrawler at all, especially since Nightcrawler is always moving and is probably one of the coolest looking characters in comic book history.

Either way Leech not being green doesn't affect me nor does it ruin the movie for me.

I think the "realistic" bent was not "Whoa! People aren't green in real life! Leech can't be green!" but rather something more along the lines of:

"If Leech's mutation is to neutralize the mutant gene - why is he physically mutated?"

The power in and of itself is kind of a conundrum. But there you go.

I think choosing to reveal Leech in the trailer without makeup would pretty much be like showing clips of Alan Cumming bamfing sans blue makeup.

Costuming/makeup are not special effects to be added in afterwards. Methinks he's white.

I heard that they tried the green makeup and paint for Leech, but it didn't work out so they decided no to use it.

^I guess it wouldn't of looked that great in the movie.

I think, since he was rescued, he should've been green in that scene...or Leech was with the X-Men the entire time since X1. Artie looked human in X2. Makes sense if Leech is the same..sort of.

Following Beast's ties, I think that scene Storm/Leech is at the beginning of the movie: Beast wears the same tie (white/blue) at the funeral, when he talks with the president and when he goes to see Leech himself.

At least he's got just two ties (he wears a orange/blue tie when he talks with Xavier), it seems there's a time relation here.

We all remember rogue from Xmen 1, right?

Xmen 1 trailers 1 and 2 barely even show Rogue, just as the trailers we've seen of The Last Stand have shown us very little of Leech. One thing they definitely did NOT show... was rogue's famous white streak of hair.It's in the movie, and we even got to see it given to her.

The third trailer for Xmen 1 gave us a view of what the final battle will REALLY look like, but didn't show us who was causing that big radiation wave.

What do we know about Leech so far?

We've seen him at the mansion, running to Storm, WITH HAIR.
We've seen him in a white room, hairless, unconscious. With an aura-like ability that removes mutation.

Leech may be KEY in the final act in the movie. Removing Pheonix's mutation. We know that Xavier and Magneto put blocks in her mind to prevent her from becoming too powerful... so why else would the X-men be looking for Leech? Pheonix has to be taken care of.

The clash of the two powers may result in Jean Grey becoming a normal human (or a lesser mutant), but may take so much power from Leech that his own powers weaken, allowing his true green form to flourish.
