Notice how Infraction days begin to overlap around the fourth day of the first one? Yeah, that's what we're talking about with the points system.

Really, it's not anything anyone other than the staff needs to worry about: it has no bearing on you posters; just another way for us staff to do our job.

Well, I told the person in question I was reporting it and I found it offensive to me, and Morg makes a big deal out of it. I mean, it wasn't worth a point.

I think the infractions system is a good one and brings some accountability to the Mod staff. However, it also makes it easier to "punish" members than it was in the past and is therefore probably more susceptible to abuse as I think we may be starting to see, judging by some of the things I've seen in this thread.

It's not like these points are probation or a ban, they are just one point. Be good for a while and it goes away. It takes THREE points to even get ONE day of probation. Yes, they are being slapped on minor things, but that's what they are there for. Something to use when it's not a probation-worthy offense. Just a; "Oi! Cut it out!"
