Cancelled at the right time(spoilers)

Going from what I read from bryan fuller talking about how every season of hannibal the finale has been written as an entire series finale.

So it got me thinking what cancelled series has ended on a note you considered a touching end for that story?

Here are my selections.
Lights out - fx boxing drama which ended with the big comeback fight and the main star winning but his brain trauma has resulted in him asking his wife who won even though he was alert the entire fight.

why i am glad it got cancelled: the show runner said the show would of switcswiswitched to mma down the line which just sounds shark jumping even though they had him do mma once in the show. Also the gut punch of his brain energy is a perfect bittersweet ending.

Mortal Kombat conquest
Shao khan wins, everyone dies, the end!

why I am glad it got cancelled: show was meandering with its plots till the end when kahn blitz everyone with his juggernant priests.
