Anybody watching 'The Goldbergs', it seems like The Wonder Years but set in the 80's of course that it doesn't need to remind the audience every 5 seconds that it's the 80's with "hey remember leg warmers?" or "boy that Ronald Reagan is old".

So far it's looks ok but hope the other episodes get better.

So, Sawyer, tell me how you feel about daytime soaps? The acting. Did you know daytime actors work the hardest in the industry? Only 1-2 takes per scene and barely any rehearsal time at all. And tons of pages per day to film. TONS.

You can tell

;)

NBC's first cut will be Welcome to the Family, I'm willing to bet.

Yeah after tonight's numbers come in I don't see it lasting. The only thing is they don't have Office reruns to air in its place. Maybe a MJF rerun. There are 8 Thursdays left to program before Christmas break. I guess they could quickly bring back Community to debut on October 24.

I actually forgot about Ironside when I posted that. That could be the first one down for NBC too.

Ironside will be their first drama.

No clue why CBS left Mike & Molly as a mid-season show. Melissa McCarthy was in two high profile comedies this year and they have her on the bench to start the season? Instead they put out a now cancelled show starring Kangaroo Jack's Jerry O'Connell.

The Goldbergs is pretty good but should be on ABC Wednesdays.

They're rectifying that.

But honestly, Mike and Molly is so beneath her abilities.

Does anyone here watch The Soup? I love when he says 'Tales....from...home.....shopping.'

Oh, hai, we're FOX and we like to pick shows up, then kill them before they've even hit the air. :whatever:

They did this same **** with The Goodwin Games last year. They shouldn't pick these pilots up if they're going to essentially drop them without even giving them a chance.

But if they don't spend all of their budget for this year, then they'll budget will be reduced by that much next year!

Honestly, that's kinda what it feels like.

Probably.

Victoria Justice to Lead MTV Pilot Eye Candy
BY VLADA GELMAN

When it comes to casting its new drama pilot, MTV has been Victorious.

Victoria Justice will star in the potential series Eye Candy, the network announced Friday.

The cyber thriller — based on RL Stine’s novel of the same name — centers around Lindy (Justice), a beautiful but reclusive hacker whose blog exposes everything from terrorist plots to suspected killers. After her roommate convinces her to try online dating, Lindy is targeted by a dangerous cyber stalker, whom she believes is one of her suitors. When things take a deadly turn, she teams up with the city’s cyber-crime unit to catch the killer.

“Victoria Justice is exactly someone we want to be in business with,” MTV’s President of Programming Susanne Daniels said in a statement. “Not only does she resonate with our audience, she has a huge fan base and is extremely talented. We are very lucky to have her.”

Justice came to fame as the star of Nickelodeon’s Victorious. She has also appeared on Everwood, Zoey 101 and iCarly.

Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) will direct the pilot and exec-produce alongside Jason Blum, Yvonne Bernard and Beth Elise Hawk. Emmy Grinwis penned the project and will serve as a co-EP.
Pretty impressive get for MTV. All the scripted TV they've done so far usually haven't had anyone particularly well-known as the lead. She's already got her own fanbase.

She's really pretty but I wasn't aware that she was particularity famous or that MTV did scripted programs. the premise is a lot more interesting than I imagined it would be when I saw who was starring and the title of the show.

Will it air on MTV or do they produce and have it aired on a network?

What's up with NBC and Dish Network these days? I know they've been woring on contract but now WGN is in place of NBC.

One more week left of Fox shows before they take a network mandated two week break because of Baseball.

Ironsides is my top contender for next cancelled series. I just ranted on it's failure here. Of all the new series that had a strong chance this could have been something good. Instead it's just a bland, generic procedural with a contrivance to drive it.

Doubt it.

Honestly, nine seasons in, does anyone really give a **** that those two main characters on Bones are getting married at this point?

Hardcore fans, maybe. I never really watch Bones on purpose. Reruns show up late at night on Fox some nights and if I'm flipping around may catch it.

I've always liked Bones. And, honestly, the way their relationship developed was rather natural, except for season 6 when they forced it backwards by a year for...reasons.

But why Fox is trying to make such a big deal out of it when they've been together for two seasons now? More reasons???

Doubt it.
It's obviously not going to be great but it could have. Instead they dropped the ball before it had a chance.

I like Bones and it's progressed in a somewhat realistic manner although it does get contrived. I really, really got sick of Pelant though and glad that story and character are well and truly done with. He overstayed his welcome by at least a season, considering he was apart of at least 3 of them. The wedding I'm indifferent to. I figure they'll make a big show of it and then... that's it. I don't see what else they can do post-wedding to make the story any more interesting in that direction.

speaking of Bones, whatever happened to the guy who preceded Cam in season one?
