It's like networks want real numbers now and not the crap that nielson feeds them...

TLC's My Husband's Not Gay

Spoiler alert: Yeah, he probably is. :o

TLC is so desperate, and if you have to go on a show called My Husbands Not Gay....probably better rethink that.

Remember when TLC meant The Learning Channel?

Yeah...I barely remember that too... :(

"every year our family trip is to Fire Island, but that's just because the prices are so good."

"Honey, when you walked in on me and Todd earlier... it wasn't what you think. We were practicing wrestling maneuvers. The only reason we took off our clothes is because they were restricting our movement! YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ME!!!"

I kind of chuckle every time I see FOX air a promo for American Idol saying it's the show that "turns ordinary people into superstars", when in it's 15 some years on the air, it has at most produced ten recognizable names that keep themselves in the limelight when all is said and done. And even then, I wouldn't call them superstars.

Well, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson are. maybe Ruben Studdard Kellie Pickler and Clay Aiken still have a chance. Oh, Katherine Mcphee, but she may end up being known more for acting. that's seven and all from the early seasons.

Ruben Studdard?! When has he done anything noteworthy since "I'm Sorry For 2004"?

Aiken also gets a firm "No" from me. When you can only hold on to a small shred of pop-culture relevance by coming out of the closet and doing Celebrity Apprentice, you're just not relevant anymore.

I'd say the only ones who fit the bill are Clarkson, Hudson, Adam Lambert and maybe Carrie Underwood.

Carrie Underwood is HUGE in the country world, so there is no maybe for her. Fantasia is also pretty big in the r&b community I believe.

And hey now, Studdard was on Biggest Loser or one of those weight loss shows.

They may not make super stars as in A-Listers but they do make successful people.

It made Ryan Seacrest famous

Made him into like a reality producing god, little hobbit basically took over and runs E! now.

So he's still in the public eye only due to being overweight?

Opinion on Studdard: Unchanged. :o

Yeah, only Underwood, Clarkson, and Hudson are superstars. Daughtry, Lambert, McPhee (who doesn't even freaking sing), Fantasia, and Pickler are the others who are actually famous. We'll see about Phillip Phillips.

Basically, American Idol is a damn waste of time.

It wasn't completely a waste, it still got plenty of peoples names out there and got them rich. Now The Voice.....I love it but that is a waste.

Yeah, that show has produced literally no recognizable names. Same goes for the US X-Factor.

What happened with the singing show ABC did? I don't remember hearing anything about it after it came on or rather after all of the promtion they where doing for the show before it came on.

Oh yeah, that one with Robin Thicke as a judge. I think that canceled. I only remember that from 3 summers ago.

Did the much hyped Alex & Sierra ever produce a hit over in the US?

Fifth Harmony seems like the biggest act to have come from that show.

I don't know who those two people are.

But the biggest thing to ever happen to Fifth Harmony was Katy Perry not knowing who the f*** they are. :o
