Cancelled shows of Tomorrow: The War on Chuck Lorre - Part 9

Maybe they can get Carl Weathers back for a guest stint on Colony with Chicago Justice cancelled.

Chicago Justice - Cancelled by NBC

Damn my boy Philip Winchester can't catch a break post Strike Back.

First the Player and now Chicago Justice. He must feel frustrated.

I thought those Chicago shows were like locked in. Well, now we can get Winchester in the DC or Marvel world.

It seemed just like Law and Order: Chicago. Was there any difference at all? It was exactly the same format. A bit of detective work for the first half of the episode followed by some court room scenes to put the criminal away.

Maybe he'll pull an Alex O'loughlin.

2 shows that fail the first season, then a show that lasts 7 years.

That's what Ioan Gruffudd needs. He had Ringer and then Forever, both of which were cancelled after 1 season. He doesn't seem to have done much since except for bit parts here and there.

Seriously. The guy was BORN to play a superhero. I wanted him for Daredevil, Iron Fist, Aquaman... He'd also make a killer Duke if they ever decide to reboot GI Joe and try to actually make it good.

He might be a little too old for what they were going for with Iron Fist, but he should definitely be in some comic property. Don't know what now. Moon Knight perhaps? He definitely seems more Netflix than CW.

I haven't seen that show he did called Strike Back but apparently they say his Brit accent was like me of the most impeccable ever and fooled a lot of people, haha. I know he's from Montana but stayed over there for a while.

You need to go watch Strike Back now. That show is great.

Maybe. Though Moon Knight is crazy, right? I feel like Winchester is at his best when he's playing by-the-book types. Though he went a little nuts on Strike Back.

On that note, could also make a great Hal Jordan. Like, perfect.

I got no idea why Ioan Gruffudd struggles getting work. He is a solid likable tv actor. Perhaps he should come back to the UK and do a show. Something like a guest run in Line Of Duty could give his career a boost.

Underground - Cancelled by WGN America
Sources say producer Sony TV saw the writing on the wall and began making calls about a new home for Underground after Outsiders was axed. The acclaimed series, which carries a $5 million per episode price tag, already has an SVOD deal with Hulu, which was a complicating factor in finding a new home. BET and OWN are both said to have passed, citing the price tag that comes with Underground. (Efforts to find a new home for Outsiders, also from Sony TV,were unsuccessful.)

With the cancellation, WGN America is out of the premium scripted originals business. Its lone pilot, DC Comics take Scalped, is currently being shopped by producers Warner Bros. Television. Going forward, WGN America is said to be focused on content with reduced license fees — in the $2 million per episode range — and/or programming that already has a U.S. network but may be looking for a second window.

Ah, damn. I liked that show. Well, those scripted shows had a good run. I knew BET was gonna pass, they have a rep for being kinda cheap, lol.

I was really looking forward to the Chicago series continuing to expand. Eventually they would've had to get to Chicago Sewage.

They could always have a spin off called Chicago Pizza set in a restaurant with ties to the mob.

Just finished season 1. It's amazing, one of the most wildly original shows anywhere. Major bummer.

I haven't gotten to Sense8 season 2 yet. Cancelled already? I guess Netflix is finding what does/does not work for their interests.
