Sawyer, do you know anything about NBC thinking about bringing FRIENDS back?

Everyone on twitter that is even somewhat reliable is saying that it's false rumors.

Matthew Perry and Courtney Cox have somewhat successful new series and Jennifer Aniston has moved on to movies. Think only Schwimmer would want them to bring it back lol

I think Schwimmer directs now. And LeBlanc's series has been going pretty well too.

The way Perry's made it sound when he's been asked, I think Schwimmer is content with doing theater.

Gave up halfway through Amazon's Alpha House. The Bill Murray cameo is hilarious at the start and you should watch that but the rest of the show was pretty lame. John Goodman tries his best but he doesn't have much to work with. There is potential with the series, if there was a writing staff but it pales in comparison to Veep. But Murray was awesome.

I do like that Amazon put all their pilots online and will use data and comments to decide which shows to continue.

I watched the previews for Alpha House and Zombieland the series.

And that was enough.

Zombieland especially looked horrible.

screw you. The return was still good. Maybe not at the previous levels, but still enjoyable.

And there's no shame going out on seven seasons.

-_- hating on me.

But no, I know this is silly and odd, but the episode where they all died and turned out to be clones (or clones of clones) is kinda the reason I didn't keep watching. It was the one where they came out of that green slime thing and it showed their skeletons.

I am a odd dude, HighFiving.

FX Developing Drama About 1950s Tabloid Hollywood From Author James Ellroy
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

FX has bought a drama pitch from L.A. Confidential author James Ellroy and producers Joe Roth and Clark Peterson. Based on Ellroy’s 2012 novella Shakedown, the project is set in the tabloid world and underbelly of Los Angeles circa the late 1950s and centers on the city’s top informant/operator/wire tapper/fixer, Fred Otash, who lives and works where the glamour and the grime intersect. A fictionalized version of legendary Hollywood vice cop-turned-private eye Otash, who exposed the sins of the rich and famous in the 1950s magazine Confidential, also appeared in Ellroy’s novels The Cold Six Thousand and Blood’s a Rover.

Ellroy, repped by CAA and manager Joel Gotler, is writing Shakedown and will executive produce the series with Roth, Peterson, Steven Hoban and Palak Patel for FX Prods. This marks a return to FX for Ellroy, who developed cop drama Throwdown Gun at the network two years ago. On the feature side, James Franco recently signed on to direct and star in an adaptation of Ellroy’s American Tabloid.

PILOT LOCATIONS: Los Angeles Makes Drama Rebound, New York Gains In Comedy, New Orleans Hot
By NELLIE ANDREEVA

Following several years of declines in the number of drama pilots shot in Los Angeles, the City of Angels staged a comeback this season with 14, reclaiming the top spot as the most popular drama pilot destination after falling for the first time to No. 3 last year behind New York and Vancouver. Los Angeles benefited from the increased overall pilot volume this season, housing 14 of this year’s 48 hourlong pilots, up from 8 (out of 41) last year and 11 (out of 42) the year before, and matching the 2010 haul of 14 pilots (out of 43).

New York, fresh off luring back The Tonight Show, has become a comedy pilot magnet. The Big Apple already has solid comedy credentials on the cable side with FX’s Louie and HBO’s Girls, but I can’t think of any major half-hour broadcast pilot shot in New York since NBC’s 30 Rock, which just ended its seven-season run. This year, there were a whopping five (all single-camera): NBC’s Michael J. Fox project, which has straight-to-series order, and Assistance; CBS’ Jim Gaffigan and untitled Rottenberg & Zuritzsky project; and Fox’s Us And Them. In some cases, the choice of location was dictated by talent (like Fox). In others, the producers felt it was hard to fake New York or the East Coast in Los Angeles, where virtually all comedy broadcast series have been filming. The 2010 New York filming tax program, which already led to the explosion of NY drama pilot production from zero pilots in 2010 to 11 last year, is helping rein in production costs, which are still higher than a Los Angeles-based half-hour pilot but not by as much as before. With the comedy boon, New York managed to post a new record of 13 pilots, though the number of dramas slipped from 11 to eight.

NY’s comedy breakthrough pushed the number of comedy pilots shot in LA down from 45 (100%) last year to 42 (89%). The bad news for LA is that the comedy defectors are all single-camera, which means location shoots. Still, the rise in LA-based drama pilots more than offset that. After years of declines and marginal increases, LA production was up 17% in the first quarter year-over-year, fueled by a 37.3% gain in TV pilots, according to FilmLA.

Slipping from second place to third in drama pilot production this year is Vancouver with six pilots, down from nine in 2012. As a whole, 10 drama pilots were filmed outside of the U.S. this year, down from 12 last year despite the overall number of drama pilots going up.

Within the U.S., not surprisingly most popular were states with generous filming tax incentives like Louisiana, whose New Orleans was the biggest gainer with four pilots vs. zero last year; Georgia and Illinois; and New Mexico, which scored two pilots on the heels of signing the so-called “Breaking Bad” bill into law. Here is a breakdown of this year’s drama pilots by location:

Pretty sure Intelligence was shot in Vancouver, though... :o

So it's called Two Men now? It would probably be more at home on Bravo with that title.

:awesome:

...So bad that trailer for Zombieland...I think I will call it a night and sleep. Instead if staying up til see my OLTL and AMC stream at 5am. -_-....Amazon...Amazon...the soaps on tv and on Hulu look more high end than your Zombieland series. The hell...the what...

And, I could forgive it if it looked entertaining but it doesn't....it is unfunny, lame, and cheap.

Just...

Zombieland may look like a 9th grade student film made on a dude's summer job money, but it has one thing going for it; no Andrea. :o
