Candyman remake

I hope Oprah announces the trailer.

Alright, where that goddamn trailer?

I'll (try to) wait and watch it on the big screen tomorrow evening.

If you're from Chicago this urban legend is pretty much ingrained in everybody, you just know what it is once somebody says the name.

That'll do it. I like the little riff on how black folks act in horror compared to others by the setup of "who would do this?" then the smash cut to a bunch of white chicks and one asian chick in the bathroom lol.

Yeah this is going to be a BIG hit IMO. I could see it even having an opening weekend on par with Halloween 2018 or Us, because that is a really effective trailer.

Looks good. The song was cheesy though. I like they’re focusing on the mystery of the horror instead of just showing Candyman and who’s playing him. I’m guessing Todd but then Abdul becomes the new Candyman at the end. He’s probably related somehow.

This looks great, like Kaiju said I didn’t care for the song choice. But that’s whatever.

Ok so this looks otherwise pretty great but I burst out laughing when the spooky Destiny’s Child cover started playing :lmao:.

This looks so good. Big fan of the original movie.

Interestingly enough, in The Forbidden, the story that Candyman is adapted from, the story takes place in a slum of london. It's interesting to see how much pop culture can influence local culture.

I haven’t seen any previous Candyman movie so I have no frame of reference for the series’ tone but I liked where that trailer seems to be leaning towards. Hope they can sustain it throughout.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen and Colman Domingo guarantee that I’ll at least check this out when it premieres on tv.
