I've DEFINITELY never seen the one of Bats raping the van...Or with the wings out...But that's just me...

They're all older pics. The reason you haven't seen them is probably because they were leaked and thus banned. Not sure if the banned policy still stands on those particular pictures...

Maybe I should cover my own behind then...*modifies old posts*

OMG, is this some brilliant accidental portmanteau word? Does it describe the vast gulf of misunderstanding that occurs when sarcasm is used on the internet and not detected by the reader? Awesome.

Dude...you totally read my mind, I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw that. Pure genius, or "accident" staged by the gods of the internet to show us they're watching?

Gods of the internet? Really? I always thought it was just a bunch of nerds with no lives and nothing better to do than to sit on a computer 24/7 and make sure all is going smoothly, hmmmm I guess you proved me wrong. lol

Ventilation is a new one. I certainly hope the decision wasn't made for an aesthetic appeal, because it's woeful. If it were purely for protective purposes, the shaping would contour to the thigh better. I just hope some usefulness of the design is alluded to the film; improved stuntwork, greater demonstration of flexibility, something.

I believe the suits creator/designer said soemthing to the effect of she wanted to make Batman look "more interesting".

I just don't understand what is so wrong about Batman's look that it has to be needlessly redesigned for every film outing. I can understand a tweak here and there, but this is getting ridiculous. I'm starting to believe the whole toy marketing angle is real.

Batman looks badass here. of course, he's drenched in shadow...but that's kinda how he's supposed to be anyway. awesome.
I agree. He looks badass here...of course it is in shadow. I was hoping that Nolan would take note, and put bats in the shadows, but Nolan insists on making it real, and shooting the batman in normal light. This is why I think these films would be greater if Nolan told the stories and we had a little bit of burton's stylistics on the character.

That new pic with the combination of lighting and the appeared texture of the chest plate reminds me of a BF pic.

I think the Batsuit looks cool here. IMO, it's about time that finally the cowl was made movable. Design is insane.

I think we'll see batman in the shadows in TDK, we saw him quite a bit in the shadows in BB, so why wouldnt we with TDK?

My thoughts exactly.

Nolan has improved on the cinematography as a whole, but I still think he could take a whole lot more from Burton in how to light the character. He manages to make the character look dull in some shots, when it could have been easily fixed by proper lighting methods.

Nice move. :ninja:

They're over-thinking it. It's not that involved of a design. Sure, there's a certain basic setup that needs to be followed, but simply looking for wats to be different or 'interesting' is unnecessary. They could have taken the Begins suit, streamlined it a bit and found a way to make the bat-emblem more distinctive and I would have been happy. I'm near certain with all the inventive minds in costuming, there was a way to give Batman the flexibility in the cowl, without the 'egghead' visuals some of the angles have given us.

Leave me out of this, Moddy :D

Silliness aside, I agree. I don't think guttering on his legs makes him more interesting in the right kinda way. If they can't make a man that dresses like a bat look interesting without giving him trenches and guttering, I think they should re-evaluate . . . unless they're trying to tie him into the Lego game that's on its way.

I always wondered how come they never let James Acheson design this suit. I'd love to see what he would come up with. He designed Spider-Man and Daredevil Movie costumes, maybe i'm forgetting some others.

Exactly. There's plenty of distinction built in to Batman's costume already.

The Daredevil costume didn't blow me away, but I had no problems with it. On the other hand, the Spidey costume is ****ing brilliant. I'd be interested on his take, simply based off his adaptation of the latter.

I found the DD suit to be better than anything they've done so for with these Batsuits.

It does.

Exactly. You can help but look at the suit and say "why"? It's simply wasn't necessary for Batman to look so complicated...unless of course they're trying to make the character more than he needs to be, ya know, "interesting".

It was good but pretty far from the actual DD comic suit, but I did end up liking it and it worked well for the film(one of the only things that did work). I think if we had a suit like the 89 suit but mobile and without the yellow symbol just to make it more suttle, we would have a great batman movie suit. But Nolan wants us to know batman has to have major protection to show how dangerous gotham and its villains are.
