The Dark Knight Capes and Cowls - New Batsuit Discussion Thread

Well Batman would scare the crap out of me in any of the Batman suits.(sans Schumacher) But an ass whoopin would be the most sufficient way to punish the evil doer's, Batman's main goal, as well as steer them from crime. He needs to be both intimidating and a trained, skilled fighter, like BB and the comics. And the TDK suit is ideal for both to me.

GUARD: Hey, I saw you were you on here. Look, I am going to have to let you have the final word on our “Legs of the DK Batsuit discussion”. If you regard that as a “win”, well, be my guest. I start a new job tomorrow and I am swamped with duties, so no long posts from me for a few days. Do I at least get points for defending the “road maps”? You have to admit that took some nerve for a newbie poster!

Also, I could not look at the close up of the design you posted Friday…only the thumbnail. Am I restricted being a newb? From the thumbnail it reminded me of Bruce Timm’s Bats from the Justice LORDS, (which is definitely a fun design). Wish I could see your work better. I like seeing everyone’s ideas, (Lujho, Bunk, etc.). One of these days I will get some of my own up here.

I mean sure the legs look alittle busy but thats about it really the most batman will appear in this movie is what 40 mins if lucky and I bet ya atleast 30 of those mins will be in a dark atmospher were he will look like this

How was the costume in BB even remotely tights and underwear? Why is it one or the other with you?

i didnt say the bb costume i like that costume to, i was talking about the people complaing about not liking tdk suit.

Well I don't like the TDK suit AT ALL, the only ones worse than TDK are the 60's series and B&R nipple suit. Which isn't saying much.

But I don't think that all cloth would work for film, if for no other reason than you couldn't find an actor built like Batman is in the comic books to make that spandex look fantastic. They need the extra padding.

Then again... Superman was very faithful to the costume, wore spandex with some muscle padding underneath and looked amazing. What did you think of that suit?

Though i dont mind the new suit i will admit that it has flaws and could have been handled much better. I have come to a conclusion concerning myself and this thread. If the suit is the only real complaint from this movie, then Im in for one great movie come July 18th.

He's also bullet proof.

and I know what you're thinking, he may not be bullet proof but Spiderman has superhuman speed and reflexes.

Think it's far from perfect and that there are better options out there, but I still want to see it in action/context before I make a final decision. I thought the Begins suit sucked from stills I saw on the Internet however after seeing the movie it became one of my favorites.

I'd have to disagree. I really cant pick out one thing I love about the BB suit, where as the TDK suit, IMO, looks badass. Its only the cowl that bothers me now, as opposed to both in BB.

what i meant by silly was the batman 89 suit that had scuplted abs and muscles and i just couldnt see BATMAN running around in tights and underwear. IMO the suit in tdk has alot of agility and protection.
