Saint, you like something about the suit?

Cowl looks great.

Dam straight. Looks nearly flawless in that shot. I love how easy it will be for Batman to turn his head...and not look like a ****** while doing it.

:brucebat:The head turning thing is really going to be great I think. I mean just the fact that we've never really seen him do it before on screen. It will be such a great subtle thing to finally see. Im stoked.

Definitely.

I really wanna see a scene similar to the ending of this (from the BB game), where Bats turns his head grimly to look at the criminals. How awesome would it be for Bats to give someone a look like that in TDK?

Really awesome? But yah I agree. I really look forward to seeing him get done dispatching some bad guys, and then be able to look over his shoulder and to the others waiting for some action. Don't know if that paints a very clear image, but whatever.

Yes, really awesome...was that unclear?

Imagine Bats landing on the ground in the middle of an unsuspecting group of thugs, and they all give him frightened looks as he turns his head coyly to the side at one of them, giving him the most f'n badass face in the world.

Awesome?

I've always liked the cowl, and the fact that they were willing to try something different. There are fine ideas in the suit--unfortunately, they're executed in such away that they look bad.

"Coyly" it not the word you want. At all.

And how exactly do you know what I want? LOL

Perhaps the scene I imagine is entirely different from the scene you imagine.
There is a such thing as differing imaginations.

No I gotcha. You're good.

Look up "coy" in the dictionary, and you'll see what I mean. Unless your Batman is a shy little girl, coy is not the word you want.

I am aware of the definition of "coy".

coy

1.artfully or affectedly shy or reserved; slyly hesitant; coquettish.

2.shy; modest.

3.showing reluctance, esp. when insincere or affected, to reveal one's plans or opinions, make a commitment, or take a stand: The mayor was coy about his future political aspirations.

In my vision, I wanted to see Batman show a bit of a reserved, somewhat sly face towards the thugs, and then out of nowhere, turn it into a complete, demonic badass look before he pounces.

I still don't understand how you saw exactly what I wanted though?

And Saint, I'm pretty sure "shy little girl" isn't what you wanted. At all.

Look...I can do it to! :)

Then you probably should have said "slyly." "Coyly" does not express the meaning you have described here. Because "slyly" appears in the definition of "coy" does not make them interchangeable, which is why you should consider the whole of the definition you posted. You describe sly reservation, "coyly" describes shy hesitance or indecisiveness.

I still don't understand how you saw exactly what I wanted though?
Because "coy" is not a word anyone familiar with Batman would associate with him, unless mistaken about the meaning of the word.

I told you...It's all about the angles.

Any other new photos?

Batman is never "coy". You may want to look for a different word there. Pretty much all of coy's definitions imply a type of flirtatiousness. Batman is anything but flirtatious. The Joker is coy in BTAS when he talks to Harley Quinn. Catwoman is coy in her actions with Batman. Batman is never coy.

I don't mean to be a jerk about it but Saint is right on this one.

Well, I'd like to drop the argument cause it really isn't going anywhere, however before I do:

I never said they were interchangeable. I was merely adding on to the part of "coy" that associates itself with "sly".

You describe sly reservation, "coyly" describes shy hesitance or indecisiveness.
I guess this is somewhat my mishap, as in my use of the term "reservation" I meant in the way that Bats would be holding back similarly to how he may be holding back if he were "hesitant". Clearly there was a miscommunication here, and I can see how you could have interpreted my words differently than how I wanted them to be understood.

Because "coy" is not a word anyone familiar with Batman would associate with him, unless mistaken about the meaning of the word.
Once again, this does not explain how you can see exactly what is going on in my head. If you could do that...I'd be pretty freaked.

As for someone familiar with Batman not associating "coy" with him, well, I am familiar with Batman, and I just associated "coy" with him, and I meant "coy" as I defined it, and I'm not mistaken about the meaning of "coy"...so that argument is not quite valid. Then again, if it is your opinion that I do not understand "coy", I can't argue with that, you have the right to whatever you wish to think.

Anyhow, I do not wish to further this conversation, cause it will most likely continue to run in circles, therefore, I hope you can see where I'm coming from, and that we can remain civil towards each other on the boards.

Apologies for the misunderstanding Saint. Any other issues, you can call up my secretary and we can do lunch some time. ;)

It does look nice but my only problem is too much armor and the chest area shown in the pic, a little grey, than black where the bat symbol is and a little more grey on top.
lol...Too much armor?

Pfft...Okay. :o

Not to further this but I just wanna address your post. No hard feelings man:

Batman is never "coy".

Never is a pretty strong word. I'm pretty sure you could find an instance where Adam West was "coy" as Batman. LOL j/k :woot:

retty much all of coy's definitions imply a type of flirtatiousness. Batman is anything but flirtatious. The Joker is coy in BTAS when he talks to Harley Quinn. Catwoman is coy in her actions with Batman. Batman is never coy.

Most of the definitions of "coy" refer to hesitant, shy or reserved, nothing to do with being flirtatious. However, I get what you're saying, as "coy" is commonly associated with flirtatious in literature and other medians of various written work, but based on the definitions I provided, that's not what I intended.

Anyhow, I guess the issue here is that I was going based more off a few of the definitions provided, instead of the most commonly accepted uses of the word "coy".

And now I'm sick of hearing the word "coy", lol, so I hope we can just drop this. :)

Look up the word "coquette" from your definition of coy. Anyway, I am done with the word as well. Sorry to go all vocabulary police about it. Most of us are in agreement that this is a good shot of the suit, especially the cowl.

I appreciate your civility by the way, but I could say the same thing: look up the word "hesitant" or "reserved".

As I said, I was dealing with a different aspect of the definition you were. It's all good though.

As for that suit...wait...what suit? What are we talking about again? Coy?

Oh vocabulary, how you have rotted my brain.
