That last shot is awesome

theres shots of batman costume on the spinners in the cereal box...
its really cool looking

Doesn't look like he moves all that much faster/better with the new suit.

When I first saw that pic I thought that was too much damaged to have occured in one year, maybe even less time. In Begins, you really never saw him get in too much trouble in the hand-to-hand combat scenes, so I'm gonna assume those bruises occured because of the old suit not holding up and the Joker/Mob just really kicking his ass. The scar on his lower right shoulder blade looks like a result of a slice as opposed to a bruise...I don't recall anything in the final sequence of Begins that would've created a cut like that, and even if it happened after the movie, it seems to have been healing for a long time.
He did get hit by a huge lug from the roof when Ra's burned the manor, it was bleeding

You could get all those scars in just a couple of encounters or maybe even one, four guys with weapons, easy

Bale was moving fast in BB, he just looked stupid doing it i.e. running don the hall at Arkham, fighting without moving his neck or shoulders causing them to film the fights in a way you couldn't see them :csad:. I'd definitely expect the new suit makes him faster but also more graceful

which trailer are those pics from, with the SWAT guy. Is this the same trailer that has kids in it or something? links?

Agreed, it resembles the returns suit and cowl a great deal, which was my favorite.

actually, the forever suit looks more like a better made version of the B89 suit but with the correct symbol. but the burton batsuits werent super glossy, the schumacher suits were VERY glossy and shiny where the burton suits fit more with the shadows.

More or less. I guess we'll see.

I know what you're saying. He actually didn't look all that inflexible to me in BB, and in these shots the difference doesn't seem apparent to us...but I think the slimmer outfit was more to benefit the actual actor this time, rather than just the look.

I bet Bale *feels* better in this suit, allowing him to do the same types of moves with much more ease, compared to having to exert himself so much in the Begins' suit.

That's probably why it "looks" the same. They're the same moves, same fighting style.

Armor doesn't protect you 100%, you know? I bet if he was wearing plain suit without armor, he would have more scars & bruises than what we saw. Not to mention he would be in the hospital. :p

And from the looks of it, he didn't get hurt that bad, lol. Even wearing body armor you can end up in the hospital. Especially from a gun shot, it will break ribs.

well isn't that because they mostly cut out the shots that showed him with a stiff neck and/or top heavy balance etc? the inflexibility of the suit was probably a big reason why Nolan went with the intelligible fight scenes. he could move fast alright but he'd still look wooden if his neck and shoulders barely move. I'd hazard a guess it also influenced the selection of the Keysi fighting style. all elbows, head and knees and the limbs dont need to flail about so much

yeah this must make a huge difference to the conditions on set. they can shoot longer and work harder when actors are happy and focused

That's just how Nolan films action/fight scenes. See INSOMNIA.

Yea, the fight scenes were a bit fuzzy and it seemed to me Nolan just needed to back up a few feet with the camera and maybe not use as much 'shaky cam' but it was by no means unwatchable, but I'd take it over Schumacher's crap ANYDAY.

WFT.

It had nothing to do with the suit. Just wait, the action scenes in TDK will be just as horrendously choppy.

I thought I had heard that nolan had worked improving on the action scenes in TDK and made them clearer. And judging by the looks of the fight between batman and the two swat members, it doesn't seem like it will be quite as frantically paced as begins.

I agree. And don't forget the prologue too. That had quite a bit of "action-y" moments without real fighting; long running shots up the stairs and into the lobby, Joker dodging shotgun fire, etc. Although extra screen space used because of the IMAX film format no doubt helped things out, there was a larger sense of space and openness, plus lack of quick choppy editing. I think those scenes are the best indicators of what the rest of the film will be like.
