The Dark Knight Capes and Cowls - New Batsuit Discussion Thread

from the angle of that last pic posted above, I love how the cowl and neck look and piece together

R & D was done to try and accomplish a thicker neck profile, while hollowing the neck out sectionally from the inside... they did it for BB.. problems arise with creasing, buckling, and tearing.. one of the problems is the material... when softened enough to turn with ease...it looses it's tear strength... thus VERY difficult to pull over the whole head...i imagine that's why the cowl and the neck were finally separated... one created in one piece, the head has to sqeeze through the tinny neck hole... this is a pain in the but...

it takes a while, but the suit grows on you, personally I dislike the curved in bat logo, but its than no logo at all

I still can't believe that they even considered doing away with the logo. To a lot of us that would be like if they did Superman without the S on his suit.

Well, the way Batman was explained in the movie, it makes sense. Because, he IS the symbol. He doesn't need to wear a symbol of himself. I never had a problem with the new suit. One could say I'm the best.

I love the new suit. It makes sense in many practical ways and looks WAY better aesthetically than the "Begins" costume. It surprises me that anyone thinks differently. I did find myself agreeing that doing away with the symbol would've been the best thing to do... but pissing and moaning from fanboys would never cease... so I don't blame the costumers for leaving it. Props for making it more subtle, though.

This thing looks stellar up close and in person.

I loved the BB suit's thick neck and was sad to see it gone. It lost the panther like look. However, in the comcast trailer where Batman is facing the Joker and he says "you wanted me I'm here" the whole suit and cowl look incredible and it meshes together much better.

Why? What's so awful about the symbol that it needs getting rid of? Is the dogma of realism so ingrained now that icons from the comic book that the movies owe their existence to are to be denied?

looks like he's wearing a bra:woot:

I like the suit, the only problem is the some people say it looks like a bra,so i think it would had been better without those two lines below the symbol, diagonal ones.

Hey man, bras protect your boobies.

Nothing wrong with that.

Anyone who actually, sincerely thinks that looks like a bra has assuredly never seen one. Although, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised on a superhero board.

I like the suit as well, though I will say the V on the chest doesn't look right.

Possibly the funniest thing I've ever read on this board.
Seriously though, it doesn't look like a bra, just looks badass. Odds are, the ones supporting the suit are the ones who've actually seen a bra. Not on a catalouge, though. That doesn't count.:oldrazz:

I like the new suit. Specially in the interrogation room scene with the Joker. I am looking at Batman and the Joker so I have no complaints at all:woot:.

Great pics of the suit. I love the details, the suit has really grown on me. I've noticed for the first time that the chest and upper ab area don't have texture at all and are flat its just that the grey areas are actually translucent and the texture is actually the mesh underneath, never noticed it until now.

I don't care what anyone says or how they try to spin it...Batman wears a Bat logo on his chest, to do away with that completely is just wrong. Something that I try to remember whenever I see a "change" in Batman that I don't like is that he is still young. This is only his 2nd Batman suit, in all honesty, I figure it would take 4-5 variations before Batman would find the "perfect" suit, but with even that there would still be upgrades to make. I retouched the milk ad to show the small changes I would make to this suit.

has any one here brought up the possibility that we might see bruce in the grey mesh suit before putting on the armor?
