I love the new suit in this shot.

Legs are a little wacky!but other then that, awesomeness.

I, too, love the suit. I think a lot of the bashing comes from the comic book purists who want a more faithful appearance to Batman, but I think this suit is great and fits The Dark Knight perfectly. It's a different vision of Batman.

God I love that suit ... IMO by far the most bad ass Batman suit. So threatning looking. Has there been a rash of released studio shots of Batman and Joker from the movie? Where the hell are these coming from?

Also, is it just me or is there subtle differences to the cowl of BEGINS to the cowl of TDK? It seems like they sleekened the facial features on TDK cowl.

Sigh. Yes, it's heavier than the original, but it's been stated multiple times thats it's more flexible and comfortable than the Begins suit. The weight is much less of an issue when you can actually move your body.
Ok? Did my statement contradict that...at all? Unless I'm completely incorrect, then I see no reason to "sigh" at it.

There's a great shot near the end when Batman is fighting a bunch of SWAT in a under-construction-building. He's surrounded near the edge and a helicopter goes by and we see the view of him in their floodlights. That's where the suit looks best imo. Closest to the comics and it really conveys a modern knight.

Saw the movie last night and I loved the lenses from the way that they looked to how they were used. Bravo.

The suit works great on film, most of my concerns were eliminated now that I've seen the movie, the lenses were a little goofy.

BTW
Anyone who insulted me last year when we heard about the rotts at the parking garage and I suggested the dog attack and the need for a new suit were linked in some way can bite me.

Now I will admit that I did say the dogs might destroy the suit, which is wrong, but there was still a correlation.

I saw the suit live yesterday. It's not bad seen live. At least it doesn't look like rubber like all the other ones. The Joker's costume too is really nice.

Having seen the film, I can say that there is no reason whatsoever that the entirety of the bodysuit (sans emblem) couldn't have been the same shade of grey as the carbon-fibre bits on the chest and elsewhere.

Those grey bits, depending on lighting, looked as if they were black to dark grey - even at their brightest they never looked anything more than very, very dark grey. In several scenes you could see a really, really nice, clear contrast between the grey bits and the black - which always looked very black. Yet the grey bits were never too bright. If they'd used that grey and black in the traditional places it would have looked absolutely fantastic and still been perfectly dark and stealthy enough.

No reason the neck couldn't have been one smooth surface either - with just the head separated, rather than having several seperate bands.

In the movie it took him like only 2 seconds to put on the mask

I'm impressed at how form-fitting they managed to get the Nite-Owl cowl. Who knows if he can turn his head or not, but if he can, well, then that might be a good way to try a Batman cowl.

The Watchmen trailer is out--even though it Empire took it down, you can DL it here. Nite-Owl looks cool in it; I was sort of surprised. Doesn't look as stiff as he did in the first picture.

The trailer has determined for me that, following Nolan's films, I will require a Zack Snyder Batman film. DKR is the obvious choice, but a Knightfall or No Man's Land adaptation would rock my socks off, too. Any number of other stories would be great, as well.

saw the trailer, looks awesome. I love the fact they got Manhattan perfect.

I was thinking about batmans blades that shoot out of his arms. Does he ever even use them in the movie?

ew.. those are some bad watchmen photos imo.
The only one that looks stupid is Veidt, but that's just because of how badly his facial expressions are accompanied by the awkward eyes.

Trailer is absolutely kick-ass though. I know TDK is around the corner, but I'm honestly not even thinking about that film right now. :funny:

Well what really bothered me was the way the masks were resting on their faces. (the domino kind of masks) It just doesn't look quite right.

The Joker: "Say, do you know how I got these scars?"

Batman: "No, but I know how you got this one."
