I guess Neal McDonough found the best words: "Chris Evans was...... perfect"

This pretty much describes how I feel about Captain America's Chances. Thanks to Kane 52630

Cap will be #1 next week in America, and #2 internationally.

This is my favourite poster for any movie this year.

This needs to be the official cover art for the blu-ray . Fantastic poster worthy of Cap . :cap:

That is Exactly what I was thinking.

One of my friends is continuously bashing the film without seeing it because he thinks the director sucks. I'm like "dude this guy came up with BOBA FETT"

Joe Johnston created Boba Fett's look?

Cool to get some sound bytes from the cast, shame there's nothing from TLJ.

It's interesting that amidst all this promo material we still haven't seen much of the bike chase or even a good still of Cap on his bike.

Thanks. TLJ is short and craggy as ever. :D

One of my friends is continuously bashing the film without seeing it because he thinks the director sucks. I'm like "dude this guy came up with BOBA FETT"

but everyone does that:
Imagine that Fox announces they are about to start filming a FF reboot and they announce their director. What would your reaction be if each of the following directors were named.....without seeing any footage

M Night
Michael Bay
Christopher Nolan
Steven Spielberg
Sam Raimi
Tarsem Singh
Chris Columbus
James Cameron
Michael Mann

M Night would scare me.

Michael Bay would cause me to give up hope on any plot, characterisation, etc., but I know I would get some spactacular soulless action.

C. Nolan would scare me because all the fantasy would be sucked out leaving a boring realistic hollow shell.

Spielberg, and Cameron would excite me, but I would worry about their respect for the source material vs their ego induced need to do their own thing.

Raimi would excite me the most!!!

Don't know who T. Singh is.

M. Mann would make me scratch my head, but i would resolve to give him a chance.

So just because he took this approach with Batman that means he'd do the same with a more fantastical property like the FF? C'mon guy.

And a Jim Cameron FF? Make it so!

Tarsem directed The Cell and The Fall and is currently doing Immortals with Cavill and has a Snow White project in the pipeline

However the thing im illustrating is people judge movies based on the director without seeing one frame of film...look at how people flipped when the Justin Beiber movie director was hired to do Gi Joe 2

Roach I see your point and I agree. I usually give directors a chance.

Sorry Whiskey tango, but I really, really HATE the gritty realistic approach to comicbook superhero movies (CBSM). I believe they should be SERIOUS (and not campy) but should embrace their fantasy elements. Personally I think Nolan's approach has had a detrimental effect on CBSM and made it more difficult for their fantastical elements to be accepted. Take for example the CA:TFA shield action clip. IT'S AWESOME, but so many people online are finding it unrealistic, it's sad. And it is a phenomenally accurate and brilliant portrayal of Cap's skills and abilities.

I really wouldn't want Nolan touching a MARVEL property.

the more films I've directed...the more of a chance i give directors.

People online complain about realism a great deal and they've been doing it long before Batman Begins.

To each his own. I'd give him something really out there, like Dr. Strange.

my dream Strange directors are...del Toro, Burton and Tarsem

That poster is epic...however...I really think they're over marketing the Howling Commandos in the posters and ads. I don't care much about them

Wow tommy lee jones sounds clueless haha
