was it me or did seem like Chris wasn't too enthusiastic when he Jimmy asked him about the movie?

Seems more like superstition. Chris has made it clear that he's very anxious about this movie's success, because he feels he's filling very big shoes and worries about audience's acceptance of him playing a second superhero.

I read somewhere that the press screenings for Cap aren't until the 20th. That seems a little late, no? That would mean most reviews won't get in until the weekend.... and it never bodes well when a studio seems to be buffering for bad reviews.

Anyone else have any info?

I think much of Caps schedule is dealing with HP honestly. They are trying to hit at just the right time for most effect.

I hope you're right! And the movie ends up great. I think the waiting for this movie is getting to me. lol

I also think after the embargoed reviews and then bad reviews for GL have left a bad taste in my mouth.

Digression; nice to hang in the Cap boards again. Spent the last two days in the DKR boards, and it's been nuts.

I bought the latest copy of TOTAL FILM magazine today...Cap on the cover, and it comes with a Cap's shield mousepad.

Yeah, I bought that one too earlier this week...

I was amazed to see that Chris' picture on the cover seems awefully low res compared to the shield in the background...

Not gonna lie, those pictures actually look really good! So very classy, with excellent fashion sense. I still wish there was a scene with Steve and FDR but oh well, I'm sure there will be a reboot one day.

Late last week several critics from long-lead news outlets (movie magazines, newspapers and other print mediums) attended a screening of Captain America. Though no official reviews or opinions were shared publicly, word has gotten out that the film was unanimously approved. Surprisingly, the film was noted to be more akin to Marvel Studios' 2008 hit Iron Man as apposed to the company's other 2011 release, Thor; with some of the critics even saying The First Avenger's quality tops that of their Armored Avenger.

That maybe where the rumor got started, but another critic has already seen it last week....

Who the heck knows at this point. I honestly think they're trying to get out of the way of Harry Potter so they can have next week all to promote Cap. No need to start worrying about anything until official word of mouth starts coming out I say.
