I can’t see how anyone could not be happy with how Cap’s story plays out in Endgame.

Agreed. Cap' s arc is the most logical and consistent with his character and he gets some amazing hero moments in the final battle. He gets the best ending/resolution of any Avenger. Cap fans will like Endgame for that alone.

The only thing I don't like about Cap's ending...

The logistics of him staying in the past don't line up with what was previously established. Before that moment, time travel caused split timelines, not a fixed loop. But old man Cap sitting on the bench seemed to be implying a fixed loop, which makes no sense. If he stayed in the past and grew old then he should be in a different timeline now.

I loved Cap's ending, but I think Tony's is just as perfect.
He told Steve when he signed back on that Morgan came first to him. When Thanos decided to remake the Universe from scratch, Tony gave up his life for his child. It was the culmination of his development from a self-centered, egotist who always put personal self interest first to a selfless hero. His sacrifice was also the most meaningful because he had the most to lose. I felt like Tony and Cap both got perfect endings.

Actually, I have one tiny gripe with Cap's ending.
When Sam asked if something went right or wrong, I wish they had worked in the line "I had a date." as a callback to the end of The First Avenger, which is one of my absolute favourite Cap moments.

When the first speculations about this movie were being made, and people were saying they felt that Cap would die heroicly....I said I hoped that wouldn't happen, because I didn't want to see my favorite character die. Well....this was the end of his character in the MCU....but he couldn't have went out better. He got to live his life with Peggy. He got a peaceful life at the end.....after saving the universe.

In video games and comic I was always a Stark/Iron Man #1 guy.

but in the MCU It is Cap all the way, Evans is the perfect Steve Rodgers.

Lonely Cap facing Thanos and his army
- never seen anything better...

Excellent stuff from Evans as Cap in the film, but this in particular is right up there as one of the best moments in the film.

His ending is one I have wanted for him for some time. I am glad he got it and it is well deserved.

I wasn't really a Cap fan until TWS, since then I've been on team Cap.

In Endgame
he gets probably some of the greatest ever superhero moments, when he fights Thanos with Mjolnir and his shield, when he stares down Thanos' entire army, " Avengers ASSEMBLE! " and of course kicking his own ass" . He deserves the ending that he gets. Cap reaches new heights of awesome in this film.

BTW Does anyone realise that Old Cap at the end is probably 160+ years old, he's 100 at the time of IW ( yes, due to 70 years in the ice) and if he goes back to the 1950s and lives until 2019 then he's lived a really long long time

I think what sells
Cap lifting Mjolnir for me is Thor’s exclamation, “I knew it!” Just seems like a direct call back to AoU and Thor’s “oh crap” look. Goes perfectly with the theory that Cap could always lift Mjolnir, but loosened his grip when it budged.

The one thing I would have loved to seen, which has no place in being shown in the film, but obviously happened,
is Cap returning the Soul stone, which I assume means he met Red Skull one last time.

Thank you Russo Brothers, from the bottom of my heart. You have delivered beyond words imagined a magnificent conclusion for The First Avenger. My hats off to Chris Evans you are and forever will Captain America! FB_IMG_1556279021404.jpg

I can't wait till we can get gif's of him with Mjolnir lol actually felt like shouting "GET EM CAP" as that scene was going on :funny:

Yeah this was such a fitting end for him.
