Cast an RPG!

I like the thought of the entire Create a Hero RPG being played by Bruce Willis...

One Earth

Magneto/Erik Lehnsherr
- Liam Neeson. Sure he's a bit young, but with some makeup to age him a few years, he'd be perfect. He's got the gravitas to pull off the role, and with his emergence as an action star, he could pull off fight scenes convincingly.

One Earth

Wonder Woman - Gina Carano. Sure, she's new to the acting game, but you can't look at the woman and tell me she doesn't look the part. Beautiful yet obviously a physical force, I really can't picture anyone else in Hollywood today playing the role.

CAH

Icon/Scott Morse- Henry Cavill

Keira- Ashley Greene

Eric Dean- Michael Trevino

Haze- Eliza Dushku

Synergy- Kristen Bell

Alexander Anderson- Bruce Willis

Marcus Ryder- Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Starlight-Addison Timlin

Ms Powers- Carly Craig

The Hybrid- Crispin Glover

A quick recast.

And as the newest addition to the cast of Create a Hero, I give you:
Aaron Eckhart as Henry Michell, The Living Black Hole
eckhart.png

I went through a few different casting choices/voices for the character in my head until I found one that felt right, I almost went with Zachary Quinto and a more Spock-ish voice but settled on Eckhart. That's right, I cast based on how well reading the post in my head in an actors voice helps me muse the character

You know, I was never riding the Gosling/Iron Fist train... until this very moment.

Officer Eddie Fyers: Bryan Cranston

Sorry, but I think when it comes to playing cops in any version of the DCU, Cranston is legally obligated to only be one James Worthington Gordon. :oldrazz:

Eh. If Ryan Reynolds can play every comic book character, Cranston can play both cops.

One Earth RPG

Carol Danvers: Yvonne Strahovski

One Earth:

Spider-Man/Peter Parker: Anton Yelchin

anton-yelchin-2.jpg

He was good enough for All-Star Spider-Man, and dammit, he's good enough for OE Spidey!

Gwen Stacy: Imogen Poots

600full-imogen-poots.jpg

She's got the 'sweet, wholesome girl next door' look that I see in OE Gwen, and is a pretty decent actress to pull it off.

Harry Osborn: David Franco

dave-franco-lightbox-01.jpg

I liked James Franco as Harry back in the Raimi movies, so since we're making Spidey younger again, why not use his little brother? Besides, Franco the Lesser was pretty damn entertaining in 21 Jump Street, and I can see OE Harry very much like the character he played in that.

Mary Jane Watson: Emma Stone

EmmaStone.jpg

I know she's playing Gwen in the new movie, but I've said it before and I'll say it again, Emma Stone was born to play MJ. This is kinda cheating, since MJ hasn't actually showed up in OE yet, but she's coming.

Uncle Ben: Kurtwood Smith

kurtwood-smith-0.jpg

He wouldn't be as much of a total hardass as he was in That 70s Show, but I definitely see Uncle Ben in the same type of old-fashioned, blue-collar father figure role. Plus having a more gruff nature to him makes it more touching when he does let his guard down, rather than if he's always a touchy-feely kinda guy.

Aunt May: Sally Field

8315_Sally-Field_copy_2.jpg

Eh, I like the casting choice for Amazing Spider-Man. Sue me.

Norman Osborn: Ralph Fiennes

ralph-fiennes-1.jpg

One of the all-time great villain actors, a guy who can be classy and sleazy and terrifying at the drop of a hat.

Speaking of villains......

The Joker: David Tennant

David-Tennant-david-tennant-28068956-392-620.jpg

Provided he can do an American accent, Tennant could be an amazing Joker, being able to pull off his over-the-top theatrics, his run on Doctor Who giving him an air of being incredibly intelligent and still undeniably crazy. He's a phenomenal actor, and is already skinny and hawk-faced enough to play Mr. J.

Dr. Jeremiah Arkham: Jackie Earle Haley

JackieEarleHaley.jpg

Arkham Asylum is a creepy place, so it makes sense that it should be run by a suitably creepy guy.

Jonathan Crane: Tim Roth

tim_roth_pictures_04.jpg

Roth was just born to play a supervillain, and I think he'd be a fantastic Scarecrow.

And one more, since the picture limit on posts is 10:

'Nuff Said Marvel:

Venom/Eddie Brock: Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Jeffrey%20Dean%20Morgan%20image.jpg

Eddie's not exactly a high-class, hoity-toity villain like your Doctor Dooms or your Red Skulls. He was a muscle-bound schmoe before the symbiote found him, and he'd still be much the same now. And Morgan's got the right kind of look for what I've got in mind.

Found another pick for One Earth. I'm honestly amazed this never occurred to me before:

Kingpin: Paul "The Big Show" Wight

WrestleRD_4015981.jpg

Show's actually a really charismatic performer, and even though his 'rassler persona is usually kind of a goofball, his current bad-guy run has shown he can be really slick and sinister when he wants to be. Plus, just freakin' look at the guy. 7-foot, 420 lbs, dude's massive--easily physically intimidating enough to be Fisk.

Actually, he'd also be a good fit for Rhino, if he can do a Russian accent.

I see him more as a Rhino. Wrestlers are traditionally piss-poor at serious acting. As Rhino, he could play up some of the comedy and really personify the dim-witted, hard-headed goon.

On second thought, yeah, Wight's a better choice for Rhino. He does look awfully Fisk-esque when he cleans up and wears a suit, though.

As for someone who could play Kingpin, someone's who's a good actor, who can be really menacing, and someone who has the physical mass to be him.........

Hmmmm.........how's about........John Goodman

john-goodman-community1.jpg

Ever seen Barton Fink? He was scary as hell in that.

One Universe: Independents - Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Buffy Summers: Ashley Tisdale

ashley-tisdale.jpg

Tisdale looks spooky similar to Sarah Michelle Gellar. Gellar wasn't the greatest actress ever, so she could probably step into the role just fine.

Rupert Giles:
David Tennant

david_tennant_09.jpg

Who better to play a dorky, at times bumbling, librarian than The Doctor himself? Tennant would make a pretty awesome Giles, and would be perfect for trading lines with a younger cast.

Willow Rosenberg:
Emma Roberts

b-58.jpg

This was probably the hardest role for me to fill here, but I think Roberts would fit the role well.

Xander Harris: Josh Hutcherson

JoshH.png

Hutcherson is a charismatic young actor who could work well as Xander.

Cordelia Chase:
Victoria Justice

a-25.jpg

Cordelia hasn't shown up yet in my posts, but when she does, I imagine her being played by Justice.

Angel: Channng Tatum

*Totally racking my brain trying to think of a good actor for Ult. Manchester Black, even though we haven't seen him in person within the game yet*

That's like your fourth different Catwoman casting. It's like the 60's TV show all over again!
