I can honestly see that happening!

 

[Idea]

That is a good casting pic for the Lizard but does not shock people or make people want to see the film. Plays it way too safe.

Hardly a ticket seller. If say made Gilbert Gottfried the Lizard that might generate more buzz.

Everyone would be talking about it. Also the Lizard could still talk and maybe have a cigar and be sinister. Like a Dr. Jeckel Mr. Hyde spiel... Men in lizard suits as henchmen too to help sell Gottfried as the Lizard.

There are unconfirmed reports that a Tokyo Spider-Man Homecoming event has confirmed that Angourie Rice is actually playing Gwen now, and not Betty as listed on IMDb. She's a good choice but again, until sources can actually confirm this, guess we'll have to sit back and wait.

I think Gotffried might have more of a chance.

Thanks, some might laugh but Gottfried just has a voice that sells tickets and does well with animated/cgi. So him talking as a CGI Lizard would definitely work and look incredibly cool with lizard suited henchmen.

Fraser is just a safe studio pick imo and would not put an interesting spin on the character.

I think he'd be great in the role for a new take. I'd like to see the idea of Otto being pushed around by ppl explored until he snaps & becomes classic Doctor Octopus. SSM did this perfectly.

I also wanna suggest James McAvoy for Mac Gargan. Back when I saw Split, I was thinking he could be perfect. He can easily play both roles.

Gyllenhaal as Scorpion would be awesome, but I honestly don't want him to do a CBM.
