Alternatively, I like David Oyelowo and Carmen Ejogo as Reed and Sue.

The reason I ask is I definitely don't think there should be >10 years between Sue and Reed. Which makes picking ages a challenge.

Yeah, it's tricky. I think you can make whoever is cast as Reed around 35 and Sue 30 then Johnny can be 21-22. That's not so bad

yeah, but honestly its probably moot. anyone 20-30 can play a young 20s Johnny (see Tobey and Andrew's Peter Parkers). Cast anyone 25-35 to play late 20s Sue. And then anyone 35-45 to play mid 30s Reed.

Which is why I think Joseph Gordon-Levitt (37), Blake Lively (31) and Colin Ford (21) would work perfectly age wise. They can all play younger

so, what you're saying is, that if my parents had another kid when I was 10, that would have been weird? because, really, a 10 year gap between siblings is not exactly uncommon.
a 10 year gap between partners in relationships? happens from time to time. one of my best friends has a partner who is in her early 20s while he is in the mid 30s. they are a great couple.

They're not going to go with anyone over 40. Especially since they'll want Peter and Johnny to be close in age. I'm starting to like the JGL pick more and more (Probably never happening, but I REALLY like that suggestion of David Oyelowo as a race-swapped Reed). I just have to find a new Sue, since Alice Eve is in Iron Fist now.

I've jumped on the Blake Lively for Sue train since Eve is most likely out. She just turned 30 as well so I think she's about the perfect age.

I know Peyton Reed had a good pitch before Fox went with Tim Story to direct the first one. I'd rather Marvel keep Reed with Ant-Man, but I could see him maybe being a possibility.

Other than that, I have no idea. It's hard to come up with possible directors, especially when it comes to Marvel.

Somebody suggested that Taika Waititi should direct the MCU F4 given that he'll likely bring some Kirby into his movie like he did with Ragnarok.
