Sequels Cast The New X-Men

In the absence of any solid news regarding the new X-Men movie (which will likely be the case for quite awhile more), we don't know whether it's going to be a reboot, prequel or a direct continuation of the franchise. What we do know is that there'll undoubtedly be new characters introduced. So, I figured it was high time somebody opened a casting thread for the new X-Men (not to be mistaken for the New X-Men).

To start the ball rolling, I've thrown out a few suggestions:


Noriko Ashida/Surge: Nan Zhang (Gossip Girl)

Sooraya Qadir/Dust: Tania Raymonde (Lost)

Megan Gwynn/Pixie: Jodelle Ferland (Silent Hill)

*P.S.: Yes, I'm aware all my choices aren't of the right race for their characters but I feel there is a close enough physical resemblance to pass as one.

Adding to the list:

Laurie Collins/Wallflower: Sara Paxton(Superhero Movie)

Emma Frost: Charisma Carpenter (Angel, Veronica Mars)

I make this selection not so much due to physical resemblance but rather due to acting ability. In my opinion, Carpenter is pretty good at the caring/tough love/bi***y combination, which is what I associate with Emma Frost during her tenure as headmistress. This, of course, is assuming her addition into the X-Men movies would be as Prof. Xavier's replacement following his apparent death in X-Men 3, and so as an adult character of rivaling standing to Storm.

If going purely on physical resemblance, another Angel alumnus comes to mind: Julie Benz.

And Hugh Jackman is not the ideal wolverine.. not based on any of the comics that I've read...

seeing some pics.... I find her really different, much sexier.... would be an interesting Emma, although I see other actreesses stronger for the role.

I feel like they missed a huge storytelling oppertunity in X1 by making the X-Men so old and having the secondary characters be young. In my opinion, some of the best X-Men storylines were from the early years, the teen and early 20's from the original X-Men and the new X-Men circa 1975, when they're figuring out their powers and learning to work as a team.

With that in mind, someone who I feel would be an X-cellent young Storm is Fatima Siad. Yes, she's a rookie model from American's Next Top Model, but she's actually from East Africa(perfect accent) and has endured violent and traumatic situations in her youth. I think she could bring a lot of pure emotion, grace and authenicity to the role. I can't seem to get any pictures to post of her, but she's also strikingly gorgeous.

Fatima is gorgeous... but she's not an actress... there are models who are actresses, I don't believe Fatima is one of them. She's just a cute girl that likes taking pictures.

The New X-men team would be Hellion, Surge, Dust, Rockslide, Anole, Pixie, Prodigy, Elixer, Wither and Wall Flower. Young unknowns should be used except Rockslide who should be CGI and voiced by Brian Dobson.

The Purifiers should be the main threat. I would replace Stryker with Donald Pierce.
