BvS Cast the rest of the Big 7 for Superman/Batman

can we do a chris evans human torch to captain america thing with ryan reynolds? he's the perfect flash, and we've said that for years even before green lantern came out.

also, i'd like the rock for GL. hell, i think the rock being anyone would be good for the film's exposure and also because he's a really charismatic guy. he's not really right for manhunter; i don't think the writers would waste his persona and draw on the stoic alien guy of the team.
Fantastic Four 2 came out in '07, The First Avenger came out in '11, thats only four years between two superhero roles. Green Lantern came out in '11, BvS comes out in '16, JL in '17, that'll be five or six years between two different superhero roles..

if they really want Reynolds as The Flash it wouldn't be that weird for the general audience. they accepted Evans as Human Torch and Cap and that was only 4 years between movies, not five or six

I personally would be down with Reynolds as Flash or GL

I'm just very very very curious what will WB do when it comes to bringing in Flash. Will it be Grant Gustin? After all this promotion and work to build this new upcoming Flash tv show, won't it be a bit weird to have another movie version with an entirely different actor? Will that eclipse the tv show and render it obsolete?

superman returns came out while smallville was still running...
ha i just read when the last episode was made :-)

That argument keeps popping up but the Clark on Smallville was young and wasn't even really superman. The Flash we're getting on the tv show is THE FLASH, costume and all. In a way you could've almost considered Smallville to be a prequel to Superman Returns. What will distinguish tv Flash from movie Flash?

Well, they could use Wally, but since Barry is the New 52 Flash, I would think they would use him instead of Wally, but who knows.

Actually, Mikelus, thats not a bad idea. Using someone other than Barry like Wally. That might work...

In regards to the Hal Jordan casting (if it ever happens)... people keep bringing up Chris Pine for the role. I guess he'd be fine, but am I alone in thinking that Pine would play Hal in a way that would end up feeling very similar to Reynolds? Both of those guys seem to approach leading man roles the same way; they tend to play the same sort of smartass, *****e-with-a-heart-of-gold characters in most of their films. Just food for thought. All I'm saying is that if you hated Reynolds as GL (and a lot of people did, apparently), you might very well hate Pine in the role too.

Not really. Pine has more natural charisma than Reynolds. And his *****iness tends to be more charming/likeable as well. Pine's characters tend to be reckless/cocky, but also smart. Reynolds's characters often lack that second aspect. But then again, I'd rather see Pine play Flash than GL anyway.

Nothing, because it'll be the same guy. :cwink::oldrazz:

doubtful. im a huge fan of tha arrowverse, but i'm really not for connecting the two. not anymore.

Arrow and Flash's stories will be limited if its connected to the film universe.

Arrow is great, but with the budget restraints, sometimes the actors aren't that great. I'd rather the films not be in the tv universe because they might run into problems if the films want to use a character that has already been cast on tv. And what if that actor/tress is bad? use that actor for the sake of continuity? nah

for example, i don't think they should use Arrow's Waller in the films... she's not a bad actress based on her other work, but she was terribly miscast as Amanda Waller and to me, she stands out as one of the weaker links on the show. if the films are connected, and they don't use Waller, it wouldn't be a problem, but she is a pretty big character, i wouldn't be surprised if they use her in a movie

Yeah, I don't think the Arrowverse is going to be linked to anything, it would just be too convulted to all of a sudden say "Yep, this was connected all along," and then try to explain how its connected. One of great things about it is how anything goes and its not confined to anything. They cab bring in Ra's Al Ghul, Deathstroke and the Flash no problem. I'd like to keep it that way.

LOL, yeah... In the comics, Amanda Waller has typically been portrayed as a middle-aged heavy set woman and they cast a young hottie who looks like a supermodel, lol.

Arrow Waller is based on New 52 Amanda Waller.

My problem with Arrow's Waller is that she's a bad actress. I'd prefer Waller to be overweight and older but, the appearance isn't the problem, it's just the acting.

Arrow's Waller is one of few actors/actresses on Arrow to make me cringe due to noticeably bad acting

Except that the girl they cast on Arrow looks just like Amanda Waller does in the New 52.

^^
And that's not a good thing took away what made Amanda Waller unique.

CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller>Arrowverse Waller

Yeah exactly, they made her into a generic attractive superfit female... the DC universe should be a place where people of all different body types are represented

The Rock wouldn't even be a good choice to play himself. I hope he gets nowhere near these movies.

Henry Cavill as Superman
Ben Affleck as Batman
Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman
Jensen Ackles as Hal Jordan
Chris Pine as Flash
Jason Mamoa as Aquaman
Ray Fisher as Cyborg

I honestly don't think people hated Reynolds in the role. I don't think they liked the way the character was presented.

In any case people responded well to Pine's Kirk, who is a pretty similar character.
