Fantastic Four 2 came out in '07, The First Avenger came out in '11, thats only four years between two superhero roles. Green Lantern came out in '11, BvS comes out in '16, JL in '17, that'll be five or six years between two different superhero roles..can we do a chris evans human torch to captain america thing with ryan reynolds? he's the perfect flash, and we've said that for years even before green lantern came out.
also, i'd like the rock for GL. hell, i think the rock being anyone would be good for the film's exposure and also because he's a really charismatic guy. he's not really right for manhunter; i don't think the writers would waste his persona and draw on the stoic alien guy of the team.
That argument keeps popping up but the Clark on Smallville was young and wasn't even really superman. The Flash we're getting on the tv show is THE FLASH, costume and all. In a way you could've almost considered Smallville to be a prequel to Superman Returns. What will distinguish tv Flash from movie Flash?

Arrow and Flash's stories will be limited if its connected to the film universe.
Arrow is great, but with the budget restraints, sometimes the actors aren't that great. I'd rather the films not be in the tv universe because they might run into problems if the films want to use a character that has already been cast on tv. And what if that actor/tress is bad? use that actor for the sake of continuity? nah
for example, i don't think they should use Arrow's Waller in the films... she's not a bad actress based on her other work, but she was terribly miscast as Amanda Waller and to me, she stands out as one of the weaker links on the show. if the films are connected, and they don't use Waller, it wouldn't be a problem, but she is a pretty big character, i wouldn't be surprised if they use her in a movie
LOL, yeah... In the comics, Amanda Waller has typically been portrayed as a middle-aged heavy set woman and they cast a young hottie who looks like a supermodel, lol.

^^
And that's not a good thing took away what made Amanda Waller unique.
too late broThe Rock wouldn't even be a good choice to play himself. I hope he gets nowhere near these movies.
In regards to the Hal Jordan casting (if it ever happens)... people keep bringing up Chris Pine for the role. I guess he'd be fine, but am I alone in thinking that Pine would play Hal in a way that would end up feeling very similar to Reynolds? Both of those guys seem to approach leading man roles the same way; they tend to play the same sort of smartass, *****e-with-a-heart-of-gold characters in most of their films. Just food for thought. All I'm saying is that if you hated Reynolds as GL (and a lot of people did, apparently), you might very well hate Pine in the role too.
