Homecoming Cast The Sinister Six!

Besides, we don't need more comic relief, you know?

It's time to be serious and sinister.

:yay:

Agreed. I mean I'm sure the film will have its own twisted sense of humor, but I think the goal of the film is to introduce a more mature narrative to the franchise

The twisted humor aspect will (hopefully) be present with Goddard writing and directing. I really don't want them cutting out anything just because it'll scare the children. Screw the children.

That certainly is something I've been hoping for a long time with Spidey films, especially in comparison to heroes such as Batman. I know Spidey is supposed to be different in that regard, but it would just be a nice change.

Even with things such as Gwen's death and Harry's transformation in this series, I really wish it had been tailored towards a mature audience from the start.

But oh well, maybe in the future.

As weird as it was, that deleted scene with the Norman Osborn head (which I'm assuming was going to set up for s6) kinda gives me hope for how dark the franchise may be planning to go. (But that scene was cut, possibly because it was too dark). The early 90s spiderman stories like torment, kravens last hunt and sub-city were some of my favorite just because of how incredibly dark they got

Speaking of Kraven, I thought of Adam Driver as a possible pick. Any thoughts?

Driver would be good, he might be a bit on the younger side tho. I think Gerard butler is my dream casting. I also thought Manu Bennett from arrow would be a good fit. Jason momoa would've been a good choice, but he's aquaman now so I don't see that happening

Driver has the voice, plus he can be really frightening in certain roles. I'd love Jimmy Smits as Kraven too.

If rhino is in this, would you guys recast him?

Nah, I'd prefer Giamatti to remain in the role. He already said he was returning for TASM3, and even with the schedule flip, he'll probably still be included in S6. He's a great actor, and I enjoyed him even with his minimal screen time and hamminess. So, no, no recast. Ditto Foxx if Electro returns.

Definitely keep foxx! As for giamatti, I couldn't say. He didn't get enough screentime. Ik some people weren't sold tho. But I do remember even before he was cast he wanted to play rhino, so I definitley respect that a lot

I wouldn't. Giamatti's mojo as an actor survives TASM2 with a hand behind its back. He'd just need better characterization, writing, etc.

I was actually thinking it would have been better if they'd made Aleksei the timid science geek and Max Dillon the violent hooligan with funky tattoos. Seemed a much better fit for each, given who's playing them and what their powers are (Max gets his from an accident, while Aleksei's the one piloting complex machinery). But oh well.

I thought ultimate electro was pretty cool, could've been a good fit for foxx. But anyways, mech rhino or classic suit rhino? (A big guy stuck in a rhino suit could be risky in live action but also really cool. Idk.)

I really liked Foxx as Electro, even as Max Dillon. Max's characterization as a lonely nerd with a chip on his shoulder is from MTV's Spider-Man series, so it's not as if it's the first time he's been portrayed like that. It got a bit goofy in one or two scenes, but I ultimately enjoyed the character, even though I recognize how polarizing he is. As for Rhino, I really can't see them asking Giamatti to get the muscle mass required for the body suit, so maybe just have him in the mech suit again, with some tweaking to make it less bulky perhaps.

The mech suit is fine with me, and makes the most sense. Just streamline it, give Giametti some better material, and it'll be all good.

Other than toning down the hamminess a bit and giving him more screen time, I'm not sure what more S6 could do with Rhino. With the exception of certain storylines in the comics, he's never been a multi-faceted character, just a dumb brawler that Spidey outsmarts.

I always felt so bad for max in the mtv spidey. And for me foxx is always fun to watch in whatever role. I'd like to see rhino in a slimmer mech suit, one that stands on two feet when in action. And also, I wouldn't be opposed to bringing back the lizard, in fact I've been hoping they would. They missed out on a major side of his character in asm1 which was his family, and they could use s6 as their second chance to flesh him out

Yeah, I don't know why people think Foxx was miscast, he's good in everything he's in. If you have a problem with the character, blame the script. I liked Ifans as the Lizard, but again, not including Martha and Billy in the main story was a really curious oversight. I understand that they had to deal with the origin story and everything, but they could have at least included one scene with his family, like when Peter visits Curt at his house.

Yea, the only issue I had with electro was that he wasn't around enough. And I think if lizard makes his return, we could pick up with his wife and son visiting him in prison, then Harry or gustav fiers could show up and offer him an out, provided he joins the sinister six. Because I think all the s6 members are gonna be fighting for something greater

I'd rather they use Rhino than Electro or Lizard again. He and Green Goblin should be the only villains to return, because they weren't onscreen enough and could use more development. They should stick to using villains we haven't seen in this series before to round out the Six, namely Doctor Octopus, Mysterio, Kraven and Vulture.

Yea. More fresh characters would probably be for the best. As for gobby, for the 5 minutes of him we got, I thought Dane played it pretty creepy, I thought the laughing was awesome. I just hope his design is more final than prototype. And just go full on green for his skin, and a purple hoodie with ripped sleeves to somewhat resemble classic goblin with a punk twist. The one downside to The ASM's goblin is that one of the coolest Harry-goblin story lines was him trying to maintain his normal life with his wife and son while he's slowly losing his mind, and he doesn't have a wife or kid that we know of, so that's kind of a bummer. But I'm still excited to see Dane Dehaan go crazy in the role

I love the ripped hoodie idea, maybe make it black, I don't think Harry would own a purple one haha. Kraven should just have a modernized version of his classic costume, minus the leopard print tights. Vulture is another easy one, maybe change his color scheme from green and white to red and black. I imagine Ock in a business suit or lab coat, not armor or tights. I'd like to see him more in line with the Ultimate version, less chubby, more sleek and muscular. Mysterio is the one that I want to see them go nuts with. The Ultimate version doesn't have the bubble, it's just vapor with a projection of his face. It's really more creepy than the classic version.

Definitely red and black for vulture, like his spectacular spiderman suit! And I wouldn't mind them doing the same brown trench coat again for ock (or maybe a black coat). So many possibilities for mysterio! I'm thinking they could do a headpiece similar to Ronan from Guardians of the galaxy, except with a glass dome on it, smoke floating about inside and a black cape. I don't mind the leopard jacket for kraven, but no leopard pants, idk why I just think they're a bit much.

Red and black for Vulture, but have the wings look like they have feathers. He needs to look like a giant bird of prey. I loved Molina's look as Ock, but I don't want him to look too similar in S6. Maybe like a black peacoat or something. I'd really like him to have more than four tentacles this time out. Kraven's design is really simple. And yeah, have Mysterio be as ethereal and menacing as possible.

I like this look for vulture:

And I don't want ock to be too similar to Molina's, but I think that'll be more dependent on who they cast. For ock, if they wanna go for someone a bit older, I think christoph waltz fits the bill! He can play very sinister roles.

I heard somewhere that Christoph Waltz was apparently asked to play Dr. Connors in TASM1, but decided on Green Hornet instead. Lol. I'd like Mads Mikkelson as Ock. I imagine him and Vulture as being kinda like friends, seeing as they're probably the oldest two on the team.
