The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

lol..good ones.

I really want Neeson to return as Al Ghul later on.

This movie should have Joker, Maroni, Scarecrow, and Black Mask.

The next should have Two-Face, Catwoman, and a small role by Penguin.

Eventualy i'd like to see Bane, Harley Quinn, The Riddler, and possibly Poison Ivy.

exactly right but I would still want to have Joker have a role in BB3, albeit a reduced one.

Two-Face(main villian)
Catwoman(protagonist/antagonist, maybe helps Batman in the end)
Joker(smaller but still significant role, helps w/ continuety)
Penguin(Mob boss much like Falcone in BB)

LOVE the Riddler but I'd rather give him his due in another Bat-flick.

Being that Nolan is taking a realistic approach, I don't know how he could pull off one of my favorite villains outside of the Joker & Two-face, which is Mr. Freeze. I'd love to see it, but I doubt he'd try it, It'd be pretty hard to explain a man running around in some kind of sub-zero bodysuit freezing people to death in a realistic way. The riddler would be interesting, and someone thats pretty much just a regular guy so I'd like to see that too. For once though, I'd really like for the Joker, Scarecrow & Two-Face to stick around for all the movies, maybe even Ras making a comeback in part 3...

Second it all.

The only villain that hasn't been confirmed that I think they need to include in this series is Catwoman/Selina Kyle.

I guess I'd like to see Penguin, Riddler, Black Mask, Killer Croc, or Bane though.

Well the villains that could probably translate well in the realistic Batman world of Nolan are The Riddler, Penguin, Black Mask, and possibly Catwoman

Didn´t include Two Face since he´ll already be in TDK and the sequel for TDK

So I´d like the villains to translate well into the world of Batman that Nolan has created

I'm, of course, anxious to see The Joker and Two-Face, but besides them it would be cool to see Catwoman/Selina Kyle. However, how would she fit into the Nolan world, in terms of the costumed vigilante part? Where would she learn her skills?

Well, we know about The Joker and Two-Face, so no need to include them in my wish-list. But here's some other villains I'd like to see. Not saying they're likely to appear, and since I hope this series doesn't extend past three films (end it on a high note with an astounding trilogy), maybe it's better they don't. But still some ideas:

THE RIDDLER
This is a villain that I'm holding out a faint hope might end up being in "The Dark Knight", played by Anthony Michael Hall. I'd have The Riddler be as he is in "The Long Halloween" and "Dark Victory": a sleazy informant who Batman puts the scares to for info. That way, he can have a good number of scenes, but at the same time doesn't need a lot of screen-time devoted to him to have a satisfying, complete role in the film.

POISON IVY
Of course, a lot of the "toxic blood" and "control over plants" stuff would probably have to get dropped for Poison Ivy to work in Nolan's Batman franchise. I'd introduce Poison Ivy as an assassin who uses a variety of plant-based chemicals to manipulate and/or kill her victims. Theremones, halluciginents, and of course poisons. Her trademark weapon can be the lethal poison lipstick. But she can maybe have a poison-tipped knife at her disposal for combat situations. They could possibly play up the psychotic element of the character by making her fanatical about plants, go for the whole barefoot-naturist look she sometimes has going in the comics.

KILLER CROC
Remember in "The Long Halloween", how after he's scarred, Harvey Dent flees to the sewers, and meets Solomon Grundy? Well could they maybe recreate this in the movie, only with Croc replacing Grundy? Some may think Croc is too "out-there" for the Nolan films, but they're probably thinking of his more recent appearances, where he has become a walking, talking crocodile. If Nolan and co were to base his looks off his earlier appearances, where he actually looked like an African-American man suffering from a horrifying skin-condition, then they could be onto something. He doesn't need much backstory, just that he's lived in the sewers for a long time, and that - like Grundy in TLH - he establishes a trust and connection with Two-Face.

HARLEY QUINN
In terms of backstory, they could keep Harley Quinn's largely intact. Arkham intern who falls in love with The Joker, and breaks him free. Again, it wouldn't really need to be a huge part, I doubt she'd have any screen time seperate from The Joker. But sadfly, the costume would have to change. Possibly maintain the white makeup, but give her a dark red dress? Create a twisted "Joker's Bride" vibe.

Like I said, however, I only imagine this franchise stretching for three films. And its HIGHLY unlikely all these characters (along with Two-Face and The Joker, and possibly Scarecrow) could all squeeze into one film. UNLESS, the whole story of the third Batman film is reminiscent of Dark Victory, with Two-Face assembling an army of "freaks" to take over Gotham City, wiping out the gangsters and replacing them with the crazies once and for all.

or a proper Mr. Freeze, The Riddler and David Cain. Whichever comes first.

Serious take on Mr. Freeze, and I like the idea of replacing Grundy with Killer Croc. He could be a montrous looking thing and be an urban legend, a mysterious creature like the Jersey Devil.

Paul Bettany - The Joker
Zooey Deschanel - Harley Quinn
Christina Ricci - Catwoman
Alan Cumming - Riddler
Bob Hoskins - Penguin
Christopher Eccleston - Scarecrow
Tobin Bell - Mr. Freeze
Lily Cole - Poison Ivy
Clive Owen - Two-Face
Ian Holm - Mad Hatter
Ron Perlman - Killer Croc
Nathan Jones - Bane

heath is joker, agree with zooey, agree with christina though shes too short

I don't think she's can, Angelina Jolie is still my pick, Catwoman role really screams for Jolie.

Heath Ledger - The Joker
Kristen Bell - Harley Quinn
Rose McGowan or Rebecca Romijn - Catwoman
Anthony Michael Hall - Riddler
Cillian Murphy - Scarecrow
Jeremy Irons - Mr. Freeze
Eva Green - Poison Ivy
Aaron Eckhart - Two-Face
Tyler Mane - Killer Croc
Timothy Spall - Mad Hatter

Only one I don´t like

I have more choices for villains.

Other than Paul Bettany, I also think that Julian Richings (Hard Core Logo, The Last Casino) and Michael Emerson (Saw, Lost) are ideal choices for The Joker.

I also think Christina Ricci (Sleepy Hollow, Monster) and Brittany Murphy (Uptown Girls, Sin City) are ideal choices for Harley Quinn.

David Suchet (To Kill a Priest, Arthur and the Invisibles) and James Gandolfini (The Sopranos, Romance & Cigarettes) are other ideal choices for Penguin.

Heath Ledger or Vincent Cassel - The Joker
Kristen Bell - Harley Quinn
Kate Beckinsale - Catwoman
Anthony Michael Hall - Riddler
Cillian Murphy - Scarecrow
Aaron Eckhart - Two-Face
Philip Hoffman Seymour - Penguin

Only villains I want in the Nolan Batman franchise
